Is it normal to have ZERO libido at all when doing NoFap?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Jan 15, 2021.

  1. The last time I relapsed was maybe 2 weeks ago, and since then I've been doing NoFap without any problems and urges, just because they weren't there

I don't know if I am "transitioning" into an Asexual, but even the thought of PMO, or even sleeping with someone makes me puke (because I always have the image of how it would look like from a 3rd person perspective)

    Is this normal?

the first few weeks its normal but get harder latter on, myself i'v not had any urges so far(i wouldn't call myself an asexual thought) but don't get complacent thats how you relapse by thinking you'v beat it this early.

I am in a similar position as you. I am 38 days in and have pretty much no libido. I guess the benefit is it helps me continue on my streak. But I think I will just go with this until and reassess how I am feeling when I get to my 90 day reboot goal.

  4. The brain/mind gets saturated and overstimulated by PMO causing a temporary suppression of desire. It takes time for it to rebalance. The severity and recovery time is different in each person. Perhaps, at least, it is an opportunity to learn again to value other people who we have previously objectified. No action is needed except avoiding PMO and, perhaps, rethinking why we felt the need to look for extra excitement.

  5. Totally normal, I felt it hard on the first 30 days. The libido does come back, though, don't get confused thinking you're transitioning to asexuality.
