    Hello, it's me again!

So I've heard of edging and how it builds everything up, I'm pretty new and on my 7th day, going strong.
So I apologise in advance if I don't know all the technical words.
So is it okay to fantasise? Like I mean when you see someone attractive and you sort of just look at them and get attracted, is it okay to do that? Like look at the person for example and say to yourself "Wow that's hot! Just imagine..." and you get lost in all your fantasies, look at all the visible parts that turn you on, and keep thinking about it.
As of being on my 7th day, everything feels very different, I'm feeling all the heat building up inside, not like butterflies or anything, but that brief moment of losing your breath because of how turned on you get. Does that build up the excitement and act a little bit like edging? Thinking about it and teasing your self? Should I stop thinking about sex at all? Because without fapping I feel way more confident to talk with people and landing to business, which is great! But should I be fantasising at all or not?

Sorry if I'm no let clear with my quastion, the title of the thread should be quite self explanatory
    Thank you all in advance!
    Lukas

  2. Fantasizing is just as bad as p or m. It’s P in your head.

  3. You can't have complete control of your thoughts, alright? It's ridiculous to even try to fight it completely. You're a human being who, assuming you're at least older than the ages of puberty, will have sexual thoughts.

If you're also extremely imaginative such as myself, that's another reason why I think it'd be asinine to fight it. BUT:

You do have to be able to control yourself to a certain extent. I say fantasizing is okay, but here are things you should avoid:

    Fantasizing to porn

You only risk relapse doing this.

    Fantasizing too much

If it's the reason why you're not being productive or you're getting up too late in the morning, stop it.

But no, I disagree with the above answer. Fantasizing is completely alright as long as you do not let it interfere with your streak and life.

Wow thank you! You know I did think of it, for example when people say that they're turned on, and they get the urges to fap, I mean I can't imagine myself getting an urge without being sexually attracted, so I agree that we can't stop our thoughts, most of the time it's not even fantasising, it's just seeing someone attractive and thinking back to it. But I am holding on pretty well with my urges, I'm not even letting my hand slip down there

  5. Then as far as I'm concerned, you're doing a great job on fighting PMO. You can think somebody is attractive and if you want, imagine certain things about them, but never let it become a detriment.

I remember today, someone got close to me to help with my work, and I could say that I concidering the person attractive, and without fapping I felt like a little child again, who gets driven on in split second, especially when it's nearly face to face, don't remember the last time I felt like that. But at least I'm happy to say that it's not something that I would have fapped to anyway

    fantasizing has no benefit

For me fantasizing always leads to relapse. As soon as you catch your self doing it try and think of something else, start making yourself busy.

Thank you for the advice, I will try not to fantasise to extreme or anything, but of course I will be attracted and have thoughts, so I will do my best not to push it and think about it all day

Thank you, I am starting to get these sort of thoughts, funny enough I never did! As soon as I started NoFap I get all sorts of similar thoughts, today for example I saw this girl just walking by and I thought that she was extremely hot so today I came back and said to my self "maybe tomorrow I will try and talk to some girls" that sort of thing never even crossed my mind, due to my lack in confidence

  12. There’s a clear line between thinking “wow she’s attractive” and fantasizing about sex with her. Stay on the former side.

While fantasizing is not grounds for relapse in my reboot I still avoid it as much as possible. The only difference between mental fantasy and P is one is in your head and the other is on a screen. You get the same dopamine hit from both of them.

  15. NO, it can happen so when you find yourself doing it stop and think of something else fantasying is what lead me to relapse after a 42 day streak its also a waste of your valuable time , besides reality is a lot different from fantasy , fantasy is just a waste of time don't do it
    stay strong

Fantasies for the most part are a result of insecurities. It's a way of coping and avoiding reality. It's a way of procrastinating because reality doesn't match "how it's supposed to be." So we think how nice it would be if things we're like this and that, then we feel good, then we neglect reality, then we reinforce our insecurities and the habit of fantasizing, then we begin to rationalize that we can't have such things in reality so we continue fantasizing.

It's all harmless at first, but it spirals downwards. The ideal fantasy will be tempting compared to the painful, problematic, messy, awkward, and unideal reality.

If you want something, then develop your reality towards it rather than neglecting it.
