Is no PMO in a class of its own concerning dopamine receptor sensitization?

Ever since I did no PMO and experienced more effects and changes in a short period compared to everything else that has failed for years, it seems this is the pecking order:

    No PMO
    -
    large gap
    -
    Exercise, diet, meditation, etc...

I can't believe how powerful porn and masturbation is in destroying you as a human being. Am I correct in assuming only stopping things that desensitize your receptors heavily like PMO, hardcore video game/drug abuse will give such a dramatic result and everything else just supplements in a minor way like exercise, diet, etc??

Technically it doesnt, but practically it does a lot.
Technically lowering your dopamine wont make you excersise and study and start being productive. I mean i can just play video games and etc... instead of fapping
But practically as you join this community, most of us who join are dissapointed of our inproductive self and seek to improove themselves and become productive in order to reach theyr goals/dreams.
People who start nofap, most of them do it in order to become more prodctive and get closer to theyr own goals.
Yet its possible for people to just want to stop PMO for whatever else reason there is, and there are many of them. But most likely those people will change their mind either cause of influence of Nofap community or cause of benefits of nofap and ability to enjoy hard work and cause nofap is much harder if you are not working on yourself.

Those who say it does and those who say it doesnt are both right and wrong. Cuase it depends on actuall human who does nofap.
My tought is that it should be sad that it helps but is not a cause.

The minor help from diet, exercise, etc.. just isnt worth the investment. Doing all of that changed nothing and I was still in a horrible place hooked to porn. When no PMO was practiced, everything changed. I just want to know what else has such a profound effect.

Diet and excersise are not minoor but one big massive major to, ask anyone who workouts.
Im dieting and working out it majorly helped my life.
There is no magical wand "profound effect".
Saying that working out and dieting in not worth investment is absurd, from nerds to bodybuilders everyone should do it.

Ive done it and it has zero effect on me. Its a complete waste. Doing no PMO is the magical wand that has a profound effect and in a short period of doing it as well. Im searching for anything else that equals it, maybe some supplements or anything.

I think you are honestly joking, and if you are, you made me laugh a bit for sure.

5 years of wasted time/energy/money is no joke when all I had to do was control my hand and lust.

  8. I suppose if someone was addicted to heroin, the priority would be to get them off the heroin first, then add healthy habits later. Doing it the other way round wouldn't make much sense.

  10. Of course I, like the OP and most people here, spent way too long doing the "heroin" (PMO) without realising how much it was messing me up.

Some say porn is the new cigarettes, because people used to think cigarettes were fine. I think this analogy should be taken further. Tax the hell out of porn, put health warnings all over it, make it hard for kids to see it etc. etc.
