This is a question that I asked and searching for an answer when I started my NoFap journey. I want to share my experienced and give something back to Nofap community.
I believed there are many more just like me which are a bit skeptical if really NoTap can cured your PIED problem. Before I continue, sorry for my bad english but I hope you all can still understand what I wrote.

I am 39 years old. Started PMO when I was 17years old. Not really heavy porn user but still PMO 2-3 time per week. At that time I did not realized what porn has on me especially PIED.

Then on 2010 ( at 31 years old ) I got married. Since I did not had sex before married, I only realized I had PIED when I wanted to have sex for the first time.

My marrige only lasted for only one year. I took pills, doing exercise for increasing stamina, did not smoke, or drink alcohol but still my condition was not improving. Well, still continue with PMO.

At this moment I did not knew about Nofap.

My life was getting worse. Luckily i still have my job for a living.

Then on 2016 I married again and still I had PIED. Both ED and PE. I can only lasted for 2-3 minutes. Imagine my dissapoinment.

Then I stumbled upon NoFap and then YBOP. Thats how I know this was called PIED.

I think I should stated my PIED situation here. So others can compare. When i had PIED, I still can get hard when I starting having sex in the initial stage. I mean during foreplay, kissing, hugging,.. but it only last for 2 - 3 minutes before going soft. Unable to penetrate.

Or if I quickly wanted to have sex, with my pennis still hard or 80% hard, I can only last for 1 or 2 thrust before i ejaculated.

At this time, I also tried pills or supplements, just searched online. It is not working at this time. (Still PMOing).

When i started the NoFap, at 70 days, and try to have sex again, also taking some pill, I started to having some improvement, my pennis can stay hard longer during foreplay eventhough my PE were still there. But its better .

Now i still take some supplements but iam not really 100% certain that the supplement will help if you still PMO. I mean this is more of my brain that was malfunction. You know that dopamine, deltafosB, etc..

Now I have done 313 days of Nofap and I can say that my PIED has almost cured. Not sure if its 100% but I can last for 15 - 30 minutes now. Still had multiple flatline even until now but its getting better.

So, in my case, NoFap can cure PIED.

  2. Great to hear about your improvement. Gives me hope. I have to do what you did.

Actually i have tried several times to stop PMO but fail. Only last one week and then i relapsed again. Only after I learned about the affect of PMO in YBOP then I realized this is really bad. It affected your brain function.

No relapsed this time and no porn ever for me. I can stay hard during sex and able to maintain it. 15 - 20 minutes.. this include foreplay.
Before this only 2 - 3 minutes.. either ejaculated or going soft. Unable to have sex.

  9. I have asked myself the same question. Can PIED be cured with NOFAP? Ok, I am trying this at the moment.

I have looked at the arguments of Gary Wilson and others, including those who oppose his views.
Here is my list of thoughts on this subject:

The people who start NoFap mostly have self-diagnosed that they have PIED. Have they been to da doctor? Are they sure it does not have other psychological (performance anxiety) or physical reasons for ED.
As for myself, I say that porn may be a contributing factor. I want to find out by getting rid of porn.

So what is unknown is whether porn has caused the ED? I don't know for myself and others. I have good reason to believe that my ED has started in times when I did not have that much access to porn. Before there was interntet porn. It just got really bad recently, which may have to do with my increasing age, it may have to do with artery blockage, it may have to do with PMOing too much. The doctor says it is performance anxiety, and I have strong reasons to believe that is the major factor and has been since the problem started. Performance anxiety forms a vicious circle that it hard to break.

Many of the success stories I have read so far are either not really success stories or they have a common element:

People started living healthier lives as they went on NoFap. The result of higher libido and better erections is hardly surprising then, especially when we are talking about young men. What they describe as superpowers appears to me to just having discovered what it is like to live a healthy life. The mind is strong, and if you want to believe in something, it becomes true in your mind.

The young men who succeeded had put a lot of effort into nofap, so they attribute all their rewards of being more healthy to nofap. Even though it could also be better diet, more excercise, etc. that helped them gain their "superpowers" including sexual performance.

So even if you improve your erection situation and sexual performance, you will never know whether it really had to do with porn.

However, on the other side, cutting porn cannot hurt you. At least, there will be secondary benefits. Less screen time, less time wasted, etc. Less sperm and energy wasted on PMO means more for the wife. There may be some truth the the dopamine argument of Wilson. So just do nofap, you will see how far you can get and it can't possibly hurt. Western medicine is only offering you blue pills.

We can all agree porn is bad. Especially on a consistent basis.

    I have pied(or so I think)
Currently on day 48 hard mode no pmo. Erections are coming back stronger(wasn’t getting them before). After Christmas/new year il try sex with a woman. See how it goes.

A reboot period seems logical to me. Let the dopamine receptors go back to normal etc

I’m very active. Gym, active job etc. Never had problems attracting or talking to women etc just the pied.

  11. I am not saying the PIED cannot exist.
Your case is quite interesting, let s see how that goes. However, after such a long wait you could develop performance anxiety and fail because of that, but blame it on the porn.

bottom line is, we will never know. The mind is a strange but powerful entity.

Btw. I just had penetrative sex after 6 days without fapping. It doubt the medication was still active when finally my wife agreed to let me enter her.

Everybody is different. My diet and lifestyle has not changed much.. Only my PMO has stopped completely.

And I can say that my PIED has almost cured. I said almost because even after 300++ days, I do experienced what we called the flat line. One more thing that I noticed is my focus on my job is way much better.

I am now at 370 days of no PMO. My ED has almost gone. Need to work on my PE, but this is not really a problem.
There are some ways to overcome your PE.

    Coffee69,

Were you a virgin when you started having sex at 31?

Because I'm in my mid 30's now and a virgin (never had any intimacy with women and rarely talked to them) - so I'm really sick and worried about if I would ever be able to grow the real neural pathways of women/sexual experience.

Can you tell me more about this - do you have problems connecting to women or being immersed in sex? Or anything like that.

Coffee is right. He stopped pmo and focused on his job. Yesterday I got 8 books off amazon. Books by entrepreneurs, business people and even the art of war. It sounds corny but I’m surrounding myself with positivity and a can do attitude.

    We can do this brothers

I am married at 31 and that is the first time I had sex.. or rather tried to have sex because only at that moment I realized I had PIED..

In my experience, the neural pathway can be cured, as I felt it when having sex with my wife. You are more connected..your mind are more focus and will be getting better with more time when you started NOFAP.

Yes, but it will heal eventually. I started PMO when I was 18 until 38. That is 20 years of PMO and conditioning your brain to response only to PORN which lead to PIED.

Would you say your healing stable or unstable? I mean do you sometimes get 100% erections and sometimes it's not 100%?

Because I heard the younger ones, even though they recover, the healing is unstable.
