Is reading and writing porn as bad as watching porn

This is highly situational. In my opinion reading and writing porn is way less stimulating than watching it on a screen.

I mean there is something fundamentally different about reading a passionate erotic novel as opposed to watching a hardcore bukkake video.

The mediums are so versatile that anything can be represented, however I think that in general written stuff is a healthier alternative. Best case scenario both are avoided and one can be satisfied by a real relationship.

 

There are many drugs that do not play off of our natural instincts but they are still highly addictive. Different addictions play off different parts of the brain. Also, if you're rebooting, reading erotic literature may slow you down or even prevent you from being able to reboot since you are still "watching" the scenarios in your imagination.

I tried going down that road a few times (erotic literature). When I stopped reading erotic literature, my cravings would come back and I'd relapse right back into my porn addiction. It occurs to me now that I had simply replaced one addiction with another one.

 

Same for me. I found that MO was really just a result of P, so I decided to just focus on cutting out P. As a result, I rarely ever MO anymore.

 

When I was a kid, I used to pay my friend to draw naked anime characters like Sakura from Naruto lol. I wouldn't say that it's "as bad", but I'd say that the porn you make is a little more sentimental which makes it harder to let go of. When DiCaprio let go of the door at the end of Titanic, you can bet your ass he took his drawings with him to the bottom of the ocean to rub one out for the very last time! LMAOOOO
