Is sex actually a magical reward in life, but porn robs us of that?

Like in the real world, the world without technology, the world without high speed internet. We couldn't get this level of instant gratification. We couldn't get this instant sexual gratification.

So as humans you go through all the stresses of life, a lot of struggling, a lot of pain. But then when the opportunity of sex came along, what a reward this was, what an escapism this was from all the other struggle humans need to go through.

In reality sex isn't something we're supposed to do. We shouldn't expect to get sex all the the time in the natural world. Now mammals still might have sex regularly, multiple times a week, humans might have sex regularly, multiple times a week. But they are not pounding those dopamine receptors in their brain constantly, they are not pounding those other pleasure neurotransmitters and chemicals constantly. It might be sex for a few minutes, done, doing this a handful of times a week. Then other guys might just have got it once in a while.

It was basically a big reward when sex came along. It aroused guys beyond belief when it came along, which is what it is supposed to do.

But because we are so addicted to instant gratification these days, we're so addicted to instant sexual gratification. Basically we want this sexual pleasure constantly, we seek this sexual pleasure constantly, and we get it through using high speed internet. Pounding our dopamine receptors beyond belief. Then this actually robs us of one of the most magical things there is in this life, sex. We end up with porn induced erectile dysfunction, we end up not feeling aroused when we get the chance of sex, we don't feel that magic we're supposed to feel.

Maybe in reality we were never supposed to get this level of constant sexual pleasure in the first place. Maybe we weren't supposed to get extreme sexual pleasure on a daily basis. Maybe it is actually only supposed to be a pleasure we are supposed to get from time to time, and when we get the opportunity of this pleasure though sex, we we would naturally be aroused beyond belief, we would get all those magical feelings that we are supposed to get.

But because the way we pound our brain with instant sexual gratification these days, when the opportunity of real sex comes along, this is no longer the magical powerful sexual experience and reward that it is supposed to be.

This is exactly why I’m here! To cut out the porn addiction and bring me back to a state where I can experience that magic!

I remember reading somewhere that the effect porn and sex have on the dopamine receptors is completely different too. I can't remember the specifics, but it was something along the lines of porn giving you an unnatural amount of dopamine that your brain was never designed to handle. The chemical release with sex, however, includes the release of other hormones and chemicals that don't get released when you PMO, and that's why your dopamine receptors don't get fried with sex. There's a cocktail of brain chemicals and hormones that are supposed to work in conjunction with each other when you have sex with a significant other. But when you PMO, you're just getting a torrential flood of dopamine.

I've hear the amount of sugar contained in a candy bar is roughly equivalent to a years worth of what we got when we were all naked and roaming the savanna. Life in the modern world is one of excess and abundance we aren't evolved to handle. And yet here we are.
