Is this a Relapse?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by LifeTransformation2017, Jan 8, 2016.

  1. So yesterday me and my friend were at school and we were talking about hot girls at school and I started showing him some pictures. I told him about this one this one picture. In this picture a really hot girl at our school is wearing a bikini, but one side of the bikini was slipping off and her nipple was exposed. At first I didn't want to show him the picture because I shouldn't look at bikini pictures during the reboot. I couldn't think of an excuse not to show him so I did. Now I barely looked at the picture myself, but did I relapse? She wasn't fully naked. The only thing that was showing was one of her nipples. It wasn't porn, but it was definitely something I shouldn't have been looking at during the reboot. Although it wan't my idea to look at it. My friend wanted to see it, not me. I need to know what you guys think. I would really hate to count it as a relapse.

A relapse is purposely looking at a picture for arousal. If you only looked st it for a couple seconds its okay. Sexual stuff is everywhere you cant avoid it. Just dont look at it long

Nah, definitely not a relapse. Like xjbert said, if you looked at it for the purpose of getting aroused then yes it is a relapse in my opinion.

The fact that you knew it was wrong and still did so shows a big flaw in your plan. Why in the world do you have this photo if you're trying to reboot? There's a difference between seeing a provocative ad on tv and having a photo of a "hot girl" which you know you should not have. In order to reboot you need to stay away from things you know would be detrimental to your reboot. What's more important your mental health and getting rid of this rotting addiction or showing your friend a "hot girl" who's nipple was accidentally showing (to which she would probably be embarrassed and humiliated by you showing this photo)? I know I may sound harsh but not everyone has a person to tell them the honest truth. It's not a good start. But no it's not a relapse but it's a porn substitute. Still not any better in any away. Stay strong.

    These statements are both true.
More to the point, why does he have access to this photo? I assume it must be on facebook, therefore it has been posted by the girl herself presumably.

    You are right.
Plus the picture could cause urges or a relapse

  8. For the rest of the reboot I will not look at bikini pics under any circumstances. It's too risky. Looking at pictures like that could easily lead to a relapse.
