Lately I've been engaging into random conversations with people on omegle (don't why I started doing this) and as many people know, omegle is packed with guys lookin for a girl to sext with. Not me tho, whoever I get to type with I just want a casual convo. I'm a bit afraid that I might end up relapsing like I used to, but how harmful can it be to talking to someone? Isn't it like the same thing as pm'ing someone on nofap?

Don't. Usually the site teems with losers, who does not want to improve, most are men who seek women. It's a very toxic site, go to a sauna and meet someone in person to chat with instead

Great. I mean I've only been talking to people since yesterday and luckily enough I met friendly people. At the same time I don't really want to replace an addiction with another, so I guess no more omegle for methe.

Gonna have to rewire to the real world.

  4. I've never used omegle as i've never been interested in that kind of stuff but i don't believe it would be a good idea since you don't really know what is going to appear. I'd say you can't beat talking to people in the real analogue world face to face.

It is harmful, as you will meet perverts and losers and sociopaths over there. Most people there are like that.

It is also inefficient as you have probably much better ways to spend you time. You only have one life, do something constructive with your life. How about a sport, or nature, or real life socializing ?

    Yeye I know.
I only thought of this because I had friendly conversations with a few people and thought that it wouldn't be harmful. I can perfectly live without it just so it won't be an addiction to me.
It's always nice to know how's life going on their end.

It's as if I would engage in talking to you or whoever and keep things casual without getting too personal, and obviously enough I won't forget about my own life goals.

Omegle is neither good or bad. I think it has to do with your motivation for doing it. If you are secretly hoping to see a girl nude, knowing it is super unlikely yet still possible, then it’s a bad idea. If you’re honestly using it to have good conversations with someone then it’s a positive thing.

That said, every time I’ve used Omegle, it’s been 200 creepy old dudes in a row, 200 horny teen dudes in a row, and 1 girl, usually a teen (which is sketchy) and VERY RARELY a real conversation, though I did have 2 of them over the years :). Oh and lots of nude guys....

The first was me flirting with someone in India, while I was married so it felt great that I had game but wasn’t at all a good thing cuz I should have been giving that romantic/sexual energy to my wife. And the second one was a conversation with a girl in Florida. We talked about master/slave relationships and sex and experimentation. All this did was help me justify my extreme sexual behavior.

Both seemed nice at the time, but upon writing them down for this post, weren’t something I’d recommend I do when sober.

Good luck and stay safe! Our brains lie to us quickly and convincingly! Journaling helps me figure out what thought is a lie and what is truth.
