I had the weirdest dream yesterday. In my dream, I found myself watching P, and as soon as I realized what was going on, I thought to myself, "shit, this is a reset", not realizing I was in a dream. And then I thought, now that I reseted, why don't I just hand pick one clip and M to it right? THIS ALL IS HAPPENING IN MY DREAM. So I opened up a P website, in my dream, picked a clip, in my dream, and was getting ready to M to it, I honestly don't remember what I was doing in this particular part of the dream, but I rememeber watching the first 10-15 seconds of the P clip; then waking up in my bed, confused as fuck, thinking if this counts as a reset or not. Would like to hear your opinions on this and please share if this has happened to you as well. Thanks.

PS: It's scary to know that I can play P clips in my head, it shows the true size of the addiction imo, this has never happened to me before, and I'm on 37 days.

I'm new so I'm not sure if that's a reset. I doubt it though cuz it was in a dream but that happens a lot to me. When I try quitting porn I'll go for a few days without watching and then I'll have really intense sexual porno graphic dreams that later lead me to end up caving in and watching porn. Happens all the time without fail. I hate it though.

No. Don't worry about it, you cannot control what happens in your dreams. Most likely you were close to a wet dream, that is all. To help, try to control your sexual thoughts during the day, stop them as they come, don't participate in them and you won't have sexual dreams.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a problem with sexual dreams, they're welcome actually. Watching P from a laptop in a dream was different and bizarre, the whole dream was filled with guilt.

  5. If it's a dream, you're clean.

If you're awake, own your mistake.

Yes, the others are right. It is not a reset. This has been extensively discussed before, you might be able to find explanations of it and more info by searching. Keep it up! 37 days is great!

The first month of my reboot I constantly had disturbing dreams about watching porn. These always ended with wet dreams. Now in the beginning of the third month in transitioning into dreams about dreams about relapse. Think inception. Pushing deeper into the subconscious. Don't worry about it, I actually used to reset my counter after a wet dream though support helped me realize its a natural part of the reboot. Don't worry, they pass.

Subconsciously the addiction tries to call you back on so many levels I find. But if you aren't doing it awake , I agree it's just that , a screwed up dream.

Yeah man, rebooting is already stressful enough without having to worry about resetting over some ghostbusters.

  11. Lmao, I've had dreams like that before and then I would wake up thinking WTF. It's not a reset because it's out of your control for the most part. I also noticed that I'm remembering more dreams than usual while on PMO. I'm on day 23 and I pretty much remember most of the dreams I'm having after waking up and that would rarely happen before! This stuff works!!!

Little tip for people like me who don't get that ability: Right before bed, if you order yourself to think about your dream as soon as you wake up, you'll see that you can remember every dream, regardless of your status with PMOing.
    You are a lucky man!

I've had exactly the same dream pretty much. I was so convinced that I'd relapsed then woke up and was thankful that it was a dream. I almost saw the dream as a prophecy - for me it was a visceral warning of what relapsing would be like and if anything strengthened my resolve.

  16. No, it is not a reset. A dream is outside of your control (except for lucid dreams, but screw that), and it's a reflection of the processes going on in your brain. Yes, you're undergoing NoFap, but your brain might still crave for pornography, which is why you may end up dreaming about it. Chill, just keep going and eventually the thoughts and dreams will go away.

Hey man, very interesting post because I had a similar dream last night!

No I wouldn't count it as a reset if you didn't relapse after you woke up. I had a really vivid sexual dream last night, and when I woke up I had to fight so hard not to MO just to get on with my day. But I beat it (no pun intended) and got out of bed.
