New Fapstronaut
Hey Y'all,

Unfortunately I watched too much porn and masturbated too much which caused me to lose my morning wood and some erection strength. Over the last 7 days I havent watched any porn, but I masturbated once. However, over the last two days I have felt as if I am not fully clearing my bladder when I pee. Is this a normal side effect? I am only 24, so I dont think I have any prostate issues. I got a bladder scan about a month ago for an zoloft side effect related issue and they said that I was clearing everything ok.

Yes. Dopamine is responsible for many things your body does. Your dopamine levels are low. Let your body reset and heal and your output will be back to normal. I'd recommend getting a good amount of protein and healthy fats and cutting sugar and low sodium. Let your body reset and things will be back the way they were.

I had this too when I went through my initial phase of withdrawal symptoms. What made it even more frustrating was that one of the withdrawal symptoms was frequent urination. It sucks when you have to rock a piss every 30 minutes, and it's an uncomfortably slow release every time.

But yeah, like the person above me said, this will all go back to normal after a while once all your neurotransmitters are properly balanced and aligned again.

How long did the frequent urination last for you?

It was really bad for the first 6 months of my recovery, but I still experienced it on and off for a few years. I was a severe addict though; I first got addicted between the ages of 12 and 14 and didn't start NoFap until I was 32. So I was pretty much addicted for 20 years, and I was edging multiple times a day. I'm at 3.5 years of recovery now, and I've only recently felt like I'm genuinely beginning to heal.

Thank you for the info. I'm basically in the same boat but haven't really been able to get anywhere with my recovery and part of the reason I think is because I figure this is what I'm up against. Also, love that Ricky TPB quote lol.

unfortunately, I get really anxious when I think something is wrong with me. So, I broke my 8 day streak of no porn to try and fix my urination problem. Unfortunately it does not look like anything has changed. I am still feeling a little like I am not peeing everything out. I think I am going to wait a week and if I am still having this problem, I will schedule an appointment with a urologist. I feel some pressure in my backside, as well as some soreness in my bladder occasionally.

On the bright side. despite looking at some type of pornography almost every day for the last two years, and being on porn since I was in middle school, I did not feel an intense urge to look during the 8 days I was clean. I think if I can get passed stressing over side effects I should be good to quit for a while. My goal is to get my morning wood back.

i belive is a weak pelvic floor muscle problem, i had the same in previous no pmo streaks. When i started ashtanga yoga and train the bandhas my weaak urine stream and frequent urination went better. You can look for kegel excercises in youtube

Yea, I am also thinking that is the cause. Sorry for the TMI, but I tend to try and force the stuff out when I go to the restroom, and I think that has messed with my pelvic floor.

You are the first person on here to ever notice lol.

I wish you the best of luck with your recovery though. One thing to keep in mind is that the sooner you start, the sooner you will recover. At some point, you just have to bite down and force yourself to do it because there's no other choice.
