Hi! Have any of you guys seen the film "Don Jon" starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt? He plays a PMO addict who is also a sex addict. So he is always watching porn, masturbating and having sex with women without any performance issues (E.D, etc). So in this film, porn is only seen as a shameful thing to the eyes of society and not as a bad habit that is harmful to your sexual health and much more. Due to addiction to PMO I've always had a hard time trying to have sex my ex-girlfriend, and comparing myself to Jon, the only difference we have is that he is a gym freak. Do you think that the fact that he works out a lot helps him maintain his sex drive with real women? Do you know any real life cases like this, or the plot of the movie does not match the truth at all?

  2. I think it effects everyone different. Ive been doing PMO heavy since i was 15 or 16. Even at times when i was PMOing twice a day, I was still able to perform and maintain frequent sex. Ive never suffered from ED or anything like that. Ive noticed a slight drop in sexual drive in the past years but i attribute it in my case to my older age, and to be married.
Im.not saying that PMO hasnt had an impact on my sex life, but if it has its been mininal for me. Unfortunately I dont think others have been so lucky.

You mind if ask you how old are you? Because i'm 24 now and i've been PMOing excessively for at least 10 years now. And my sexual drive on a 1-10 scale is below zero (not sure this is a hyperbole... might be actually true)

  4. Im 30. But ill say although i havent really been affected much in sexual drive, id really suggest abstaining from PMO. Thats probably a big contributing factor for you, as with a lot others. There are many other benefits to.abstaining from pmo as well

I suggest it may be the other way round - Don Jon had an abnormally high sex drive, meaning he still has sexual energy left after multiple MO and porn binges etc to also have sex a lot. The truth is that most P addicts do not have an abnormally high sex drive and are driven to force themselves to MO beyond what their body 'naturally' desires, to satisfy a psychological need rather than physical, hence the physical symptoms (PIED, etc).

If you do have a high sex drive, consider sexual transmutation - all that amazing energy needs controlling and utilising. Don't let it control you!
