Is what I did today considered P or not MAY 2018

Discussion in 'Self Improvement' started by Fox119, May 3, 2018.

Is what I did considered P or not?

  1. What You Did was P

    25.0%
  2. That was not P

    75.0%
  1. (If you are easily triggered by P related stuff don't read the italicized part)

OK here comes the story guys, Pretty cringe gotta be honest, but what happened was you guys know Lil pump right? anyways some meme page posted him, but he was giving Top to a girl, (pretty much sex) You couldn't see any naked part of anyone's body or anything. But you could tell what was going on (if you know what I mean) so I go to the comments of the video and they are saying stuff like oh he's giving it to this celebrity or something. So then I'm like whatever, but here is the thing I don't like, I went back to the video later to turn on sound because I wanted to know if it really was the celebrity they were talking about. (You couldn't really tell BTW), anyways it felt almost like watching porn, because yeah I was kind of turned on by watching the thing but that wasn't really my intent I just wanted to see what was going on in the video. The whole sex part wasn't really what I wanted to get out of it, I just was curious, (That curiosity was most likely because of the stuff that he was doing, but that kind of drama stuff is kinda interesting because the person they said he was giving it to was really surprising to me which made me watch it with sound to find out what was happening. You also can't really tell because she doesn't make any noise) but I did get turned on in the process. Does this mean that I watched P, or not? I would really like someone to answer what they think. (Also there was no nudity in this post it was on Instagram, You couldn't even see anyone's lower half) Even if you are reading this a few weeks after I post this. Please comment your input.

  2. If it felt like watching P for you, I would avoid watching those kind of videos. You know what P is like. You want to get to the point you're not aroused by a bunch of pixels.

  3. Are you saying that I should reset my counter? or are you saying just best to steer clear from that kinda stuff? Also thanks for replying to the thread I appreciate it man.

  4. No problem bro. Don't reset your counter (25+ days good job!). In reality you haven't watched P it only felt like it because of the visual stimuli. But yes, you want to steer clear from watching videos that you get sexually aroused by since it can lead you back to PMO. The visual stimuli for your brain is way more intense in watching P.

In short: Steer clear of watching those vids! Don't be too hard on yourself and don't search for random girls on Social Media. It's the same hunt for dopamine for your brain. It's the reason why I deleted all my Social Media.
I'm not saying you should do the same and delete everything. For me I had to do it because I knew alot of girls who would keep stalking me online and they only secuded me back to feelings of lust.

I too struggled with PMO for a long time. But this time I'm really convinced I'm done with it. If you need anything else let me know.

Just be careful. Don't try to engage yourself in any such kind of graphic content. The thing is you know when you watch such videos your conscious tells you what you are doing is wrong but at the heat of the moment and all the days of abstaining makes you override your mind and you end up doing it.
Be aware of your progress and make a promise to yourself that you will not watch any such kind of content. I lost my 161 days streak to such craziness.and I'm regretting it a lot. Not at all worth that shit.

  6. Thanks man, From now on I'm going to completely dodge that stuff.

  7. Yeah I agree, wasting 25 Days is just not worth it to me, not even in the slightest. That's why I really wanted to know because I wanted to do whats right. So yeah from now on I'm completely away from that stuff until my goals are reached.

Be careful. If it felt like P to you then it's down to your morals. If I see a woman on Facebook, no I am not going to reset my counter... but if you let yourself look at it for a while longer than you know you should have and maybe got aroused by it for longer than you know you should have, then I would recommend resetting. This is because the counter isn't a reward...it's a counter. The reward is the results at the end of the road... but think about it, if someone stay off from PMO for 5 years and then relapsed... should they reset just because they relapsed once in 5 years? The answer is yes, they should. They won't be like the other people at day one but they are still on day one again. It's not a medal to get to day 30. You should get a medal if you break the addiction. If I watch a little bit of porn every week and don't count it as a relapse and do this for a year and am still having ED then I will finally know that When i was asking if it counted, I should have just reset.
However, only you know and bloody well good on you for getting as far as you have so far! I am a long way off to being where you are yet.

one phrase to keep in mind though. Substitute porn. It is a thing and probably contributes to most relapses, Substitute porn leads to urges. I was once at day 22 (my best so far) and used a nsfw section of a social media website... no nudity, just implied. It cost me and I haven't been able to get that high again since.

by the way, I didn't vote. You should decide, no one else

  9. Yeah, mostly I have decided to go with saying that it wasn't P, my intention when watching it wasn't really that I wanted P but more or less that I was curious. I think that if I could do it again that I wouldn't. Even though the video did have arousing consequences it was more or less me being interested by the comments that I read, otherwise I wouldn't have gone back. The thing that sucks is that meme pages post that kind of thing on Instagram sometimes, so you never know whats gonna happen. I have decided from now on that if I think that something is wrong. About a post like that. That I will just scroll on and hope no one else posts it. Staying as far away from that kind of content as possible.

I know exactly what you mean! I used to use a lot of 9gag and facebook and instagram all the time and then I started noFap and I realised how filthy it all is. Every other post is triggering. Sad thing is that I gave up all social media. I only use Facebook to message people now. It is tough when I am boiling rice with nothing to do but wait instead of browsing memes but eventually i started cleaning and doing little jobs instead... not using social media has changed my life so much because I do the little jobs all the time and I am much happier for it. I turned around from my mum and girlfriends always having a go about my mess and jobs I needed to be doing to everyone always being happy and fun with me :)
