**WARNING: If K9 is working well for you, you might not want to read about the loophole below.**

I’ve had K9 for a while, but I just started using it in two new ways:

    1. To block the internet completely during certain hours of the day.
    2. To block open image/media search.

It seemed good at first, but I unfortunately discovered two flaws: a) I can still do a Google Images search by doing a regular Google search and clicking on Images, and b) I can still load Google during the blocked hours (but not other common sites). Obviously this is a fatal combination.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solutions? I’m using Chrome on Mac OS 10.11.6.

I don’t see that option, but I see options to “Show HTTPS Blocks”, “Force Safe Search”, and “Force YouTube Safety Mode”, all of which are selected for me.

The problem seems to be specific to the combination of google.com and Chrome, unsurprisingly. google.com was successfully blocked in Firefox during my blocking hours (though I just tried to replicate that behavior and now nothing is blocked during my blocking hours!)
