None of this stuff causes me to stop believing in Jesus. But it does throw a monkey wrench into my feelings and thought processes.

What I'm curious about you may not have any answers too. It's something that I've wondered about for a long time. The problem with posting about it, is that it's controversial. I'm not someone who posts things for the sake of controversy. I'm not sure that this should be posted in NoFap. But then again, I'm not sure there is any forum that this can be posted in. I've already named some of my reasons for joining and testing out NoFap. One of the reasons I haven't mentioned yet, is that we are a sexual community. But not just any oh sexual community. We are a non porn sexual community. I think that is a rare thing to find on the Internet. The other communities tend to be either pro porn, or religious which in my limited experience hasn't been very accepting of such discussion.

As believer in Jesus, I've been taught that God gives us abilities and then it is up to us if we are going to use those abilities wisely or not. Another thing that Christian teachers often teach is. "Run away from temptation". As far as I understand it, they get this idea from two passages in scripture. Matthew 5:27-30 which gets interpreted as saying if something in your life is causing you to sin then get rid of it. Another is a passage which appears in the old testament, we see a POSSIBLE example of this with Joseph and Potiphar’s Wife Genesis 39:1-23.

In Luke 12:48 scripture teaches that more that is given to you the more is expected out of you.

In 1 Timothy 2:9-10 scripture teaches that Women should dress modestly. (As you can see I'm already stepping into the realm of controversy and a whole discussion could be made around just this one point! But I'm using it as part of another question that I'm going to get to at the end of this)

For some reason, I've been given the ability to both build and use computers. I'm not going to say that I'm "good" at them. Because when it comes to computers I think the phrase "good at" is relative, and depends on what you mean by it. It's possible to be really good at using the Windows OS, and stink at using Linux. Or be really good at building desktops and struggle with building laptops. (You get the picture). I haven often felt that in order to completely follow Jesus I should cut off computer technology. Because it opens the door to things that tempt me. Which makes me wonder why did God make me like this in the first place?

Of course I'm attracted to Women, thus another reason why I joined. I have always liked naturally busty Women. Before the Internet I wasn't as exposed as I was during the school days. (Back in High School there was one of those ladies and she got made fun of a lot for it. Poor girl.) As I looked at some of these girls and noticed the things the way they are using their busty bodies on the Internet. Some of them even say, "I can't cover these up so I might as well show them off." I started wondering, if God wants modesty then why give some Women beauty that can't be modest?

First of all, if you haven't noticed there's a whole religious discussion section and specifically one or more Christian ones - just a heads up though I understand you may also want to open it up to the forum as a whole.

As far as the idea of why we are the way we are, I think you're reasoning based on a single conditioned response. First of all nobody is born knowing computers, you have a mind that lends itself to it but that doesn't mean it couldn't have been used for other things. For that matter, computers can obviously be used for other things - it's been called the "anything" machine since it just depends on the software.

The other thing is perception. There is actually another function of breasts aside from sexual attraction, that's how babies are fed. Also I don't know about you but I think if you look at a picture of women from an indigenous tribe them being busty is not the same as the Western stereotype image of sexual attraction, which people to try to conform to.

In short it's nurture rather than nature, we are not just made a certain way. Society and cultural conditioning goes a long way. Just because it's common it doesn't mean it's inevitable or just a given.
