  2. Porn is what you have to get rid of. Also you have to get rid of masturbation habit. So no. BOTH SUCK ASS :)

I made a topic about this a while ago. Imo you have to watch porn to get rid of porn addiction, but you have to watch it and not get aroused by it and recognize it as abnormal (waching the woman you want get f by someone else).

When you start getting aroused you have to either close ut or switch to solo women.

    And not masturbate.

Most people show up here because they have compulsive porn consumption, and they want to stop it. There are a lot of reasons why they want to stop it. Some just are tired of using it every single day. Don't know your reasons for quitting, don't know your reasons for wanting to quit.

If you want to quit, you need to understand what you are quitting. Yes, you are quitting porn, but that is not it. We use porn for one reason; we use porn for only one reason; it helps produce sexual thoughts, and sexual thoughts produce a neurological brain reward. Not very sexy when said that way, but that is it. It is not a matter of right and wrong, it is a matter of pushing the porn button to get a dopamine high. That is something you can do without MO; just using porn to get that high is using porn to get that high. It's not so bad, but if you are here, asking the question, my advice is to do the hard 90. No P, no PMO, no MO, no sex, no O, no artificial sexual stimulation, consciously avoiding sexual thoughts, for 90 days. Not saying you can never use it again, but, get clean first, get rebalanced first, and THEN ask yourself, what you want in your life. This is not black and white, there is a whole lot of grey in this process. This is about finding your normal. Excessive porn consumption confuses many people about their normal. You need to rebalance first, and then ask, what do I want to be, who do I want to be. Don't ask: Should I use porn, while still using porn. Quit using porn for 90 days, then ask the question. Then, it will be a different question, and, probably, will be a different answer.

that’s sound like a really bad idea.
It’s like asking an alcoholic to drink a little bit and not enjoy drinking.

porn is worst than MO I think. And I will say that anything that arouse you is the same as porn.

Thanks for writing my post with exactly the same content and example that I was going to write, just 5 minutes before me @CodeTalker

While it is important to change your perception of P, trying to watch it while "remaining unaffected" is probably the least effective and most damaging method of achieving that. The reasons for this change of mind and the healing all lie within other areas of life, watching P will contribute nothing to this slow process.

Cue exposure for addiction works on heroin users so it works on lesser addictions like alcohol or pmo.

Running away from porn does not increase your resistance ro porn.

I used to be unable to control myself even if i saw one porn picture, now i can watch for minutes and not get any reaction except getting bored and pissed off.

If you can watch porn without being triggered or aroused, you are in the minority. Doesn't make much sense for most. But if you are different, ask yourself why you still need to watch it at all.

i agree its like facing for fears, people who are afraid of something eg spiders have been placed next to one and then they get over it. in the case of P its facing the video and watching like nope not today, i am better than this

No, it's not. If you watch porn you can't simply get rid of behavior written in your mind. Like with smoking - you addicted not only to nicotine, but also to process. Also, probably, your brain will react with dopamine already on viewing.

porn is sh*t in the toilet, and masturbation is the paper you used to to wipe ur as*.

U only throwing the paper and keeping the sh*t? Or flushing the sh*t but keep the paper?

Thank you all for your opinions.I asked this question, because I want to stop masturbating forever because the main reason is that it makes me feel annoyed and it is harmful when you ejaculate. But I don't think that just watching an occasional porn movie can affect my mood. I repeat, without touching me!

  16. It's your opinion and it's good to have one, but honestly - porn is crap, my friend. And even once in a while it IS harmful! Read yourbrainonporn or something like that. You WILL relapse, you WILL touch yourself anyways, believe in my words, friend.

Yes you can, that's the point of cue exposure.

You simply overwrite a behaviour with another one. That is why you have to face porn eventually, because as long as you run away from it the loop will always be there.

You have to replace porn>pleasure>erection>masturbation with porn>displeasure>no erection>no masurbation

  18. Sorry to be another downer, but yeah it's not good :/

It's feeding the problem, not letting your brain reset. And if it was me, I'd be masturbating before I knew it.

Do your best to stay away - stay strong bud :)

Your supposed to be trying to change your behaviour. So stopping seeking and looking at porn and artificial sexual stimulation for an erotic buzz.

Plus seeking and looking at this stuff for an erotic buzz and when you're feeling sexually aroused is extremely risky. It's basically guaranteed you will eventually end up masturbating to it. It's like an alcoholic who is trying to stay clean deliberately sitting loads of alcohol in front of them and staring at it. It's like a drug addict who is trying to stay clean sitting those drugs right in front of them and just starting at them.

I do personally think it is 100 times worse to masturbate to that stuff rather than just search and look at it though. But like I said you're supposed to be trying to stop the seeking behaviour of this stuff for an erotic buzz, and searching and looking at this stuff is just seriously putting you at high risk of masturbating to it.
