Yeah that sounds reasonable to me. At the end of the day you need to have a strategy that works for you and a goal that is realistic. So if you can make it to 90 days without actual PMO I would still call that a victory, going straight into complete hard mode from day 1 was maybe not going to work for you. As far as I'm concerned, being involuntarily turned on by things in everyday life is not a failure even in hard mode, it's only an issue when I deliberately look for it. I guess it will be very hard for you to avoid things that are going to act as triggers and I don't know how you deal with that, but checking in regularly is definitely one good strategy IMO.
