Since doing NoFap, I've decided on having a journal, and regularly writing my thoughts and feelings throughout my streaks and relapses I've had. Also on what I've done, how things have changed mentally, physically and emotionally for me, and what impacts it's made on me and my life for the better.

When I look back and read through my journal, it's also a good tool to monitor my progress from doing NoFap. What improvements I can make - for example, on how to avoid relapses.

It has got me asking this, has anyone resorted to writing a journal, diary, or maybe a blog when they do NoFap?

I haven't because I get inspired from reading the stories and successes of others and also helping others when they have failed.

I voted yes because I do write a journal here on NoFap. But I do not do it to monitor and track my progress. I never read my previous posts and don't look where I have been and how far I have come, etc. I just write because the very action of writing my thoughts down I find beneficial. It works almost like a psychotherapy in a sense. Only instead of talking with a therapist I am talking with myself, reflecting things myself and analyzing myself what I just wrote. It helps to bring my unconscious thoughts back at surface, get my thoughts in order, solve things, make sense of them, etc.

Absolutely. I have a couple journals here. I'm a writer so I always have something to say. Words for dayssss

Voted Yes. I keep a personal Journal within the darkest, "evil-est", where binary monsters lurk, corners of my computer about general stuff, but also NoFap logs. I like the idea of tracking my progress, however writing down your thoughts about other stuff is a good idea to pool down your opinions, to have moment of distraction and maybe having new ideas. In the future whenever Relapsing is imminent I take a look back to my oldest logs to check if I felt the same thing. Then ask myself: "Was it worth it back then? It wasn't. So why would it be worth it now?"

I keep a journal of all the lessons I have learned and all the symptoms I'm experiencing. This helps me to not relapse. 60 days isn't too so bad.

I recently have strong urges coming back and that's why I'm posting a lot today. Helping others will helps me to keep my urges under control. You need to take time to think about the question and answer it. Once you journal or answered it, normally your urges will be gone by that time.

It also helps you to pin point where the real issue are and normal you able to see patterns or solve your own problems.
