Keep missing out on awesome women

Okay so i tend to be really bad with dating and relationships, and move really slow. I tend to be really afraid of commitment, too. But there has been a handful of women now who i totally feel for and waited too long to ask out, and then soon after i missed my opportunity, so many of them started dating a guy who they eventually got engaged to and married. And I'm always like, yeah this is an awesome guy, and he probably will be better for her then i would honestly. But it's still so disheartening.
