    Who here practices Kundalini Yoga?

That community is really big on having sexual energy moving up the chakras and into higher consciousness, sexual transmutation, rather than having it released sexually all the time. They're big on cold showers too.

    I practice it regularly.

However, that kundalini energy can go up and down the spine. I know how to raise that energy up, but maintaining that energy is the hard part. Sometimes when you charge up too much energy than what you originally had, and that energy goes back down to lower consciousness or vibrations, it can make you ever hornier.

Interesting.. would you recommend it then? Is it a form of yoga concerned with sexual energy? Or is that just a small part of it?

It sounds like it could be a double edged sword if not practiced properly.. but I'm into spiritual practices like meditation. I always find it interesting and often helpful when dealing with stress. Maybe this form of yoga could help too..

Sexual energy is a part of it.

I would recommend it as one of the things you do to improve your journey nofap, but not the only thing you do to quit the addiction. It is definitely a great tool you can add to your list of other tools for sexual transmutation.

As far as the urge to watch porn itself, I don't think there's any pranayam or yoga you can do to heal it. Because, you know, porn itself is all fantasy based, not really the act of sex or masturbation. However, once you watch the porn, that's when you want to release your sexual energy. So for the urge to watch porn itself, I think the Buddhist approach of mindfulness and changing your thought patterns for porn helps.

I believe you transmute the sexual energy into something productive. My husband used to do this to give himself more energy to be very productive at work. He has gotten several raises since he started practising this.

Ever since I had my back injury, I got into yoga and I was hooked. Of course, I had to start very small. I've done multiple types of yoga including Kundalini. I never ever knew that this type of practice can actually enhance sexual energy. The whole time I thought it was just chanting or changing the movements of your breathing like the "Dragon Breath" and other exercises. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Kundalini although it's very interesting, and I stopped my membership at the Y a while back. I got some DVDs on an international yoga instructor named Rodney Yee. Ever since then, I've been doing Power Yoga (the most intense form of all yoga practices). I don't know if it helps with sexual energy like Kundalini, but I'm sure it does somewhat.

  8. I have not had this happen before. Sounds totally plausible though.

Yes, practicing Yoga and the asanas (Yoga postures) subdue and helps to heal an urge to watch porn. Do it right when you have the urge. Yoga postures turn to meditation and meditation leads to the brain changing.

I've heard of these practices but I've never done it myself .

I do take cold showers though :emoji_thumbsup:

  10. I just started this. Not Indian Yoga stuff but Chinese Qigong stuff. But basically it's the same thing just with different names for it, for example Kundalini there is called Chi energy and so on. I bought couple books by Mantak Chia; "Healing Light of the Tao" and "Cultivating Male Sexual Energy". So far I learnt to breath Chi in my balls lol and to move up the spine slightly. Yet to learn how to move it up to my brain all the way, but I'm getting there. There is also possibility of learning how to orgasm without ejaculation by moving one's Chi energy up the spine instead of out of the penis. Right now it's not my focus but it would be great to learn to do this eventually. Cos then I could stay on nofap benefits forever while also enjoying sex and maybe masturbation, without feeling drained and all that stuff.

I read "Cultivating Male Sexual Energy", too, and tried some of the exercises for a while. But they created too much tension for me. Being able to orgasm without ejaculation would certainly be awesome, and I even have one independent first-hand source that this is possible, but I'm not willing to put so much effort into it and may be taint my sexuality or even risk my health along the way. When I read these two customer reviews I stopped. I advise you to keep a sensitive perception of how the exercises make you feel. In case you achieve positive results, I'd be interested in knowing.

  12. Probably did something wrong. Like skipping certain steps maybe? I've read reviews too of people saying that this stuff messed them up. And people saying that precautions and warning are either not noticeable/detailed enough or might be missing at all regarding some of the practices in Mantak Chia's books. "Healing Light of the Tao" is supposedly better than "Cultivating Male Sexual Energy" when it comes to safety. Haven't got that copy in my mail yet, just the other one, so can't really tell ya but that's what I've heard. That's why I am holding off from moving even cold chi, yet alone hot one, up my spine for now until I get "Healing Light of the Tao". For now just berating into my balls and that's about it.

As far as having orgasm without ejaculating, had few of those in my life by accident. A couple of times during sleep (a dry wet dream, if you will) and once or twice while masturbating and edging. So I know they are possible from personal experience. But I could not replicate them intentionally and frankly was too eager to bust my load to even bother to consitently practice, so I just forgot about the concept.

I don't know man. Better let love guide you, not fear. There are many wonderful things people miss out on because they are too afraid from what could happen. Really even many basic exercises at gym could hurt you if done wrong. So the idea that this might be dangerous doesn't really scare me. I'm just gonna be careful, do my reasearch and I should be fine.

Yes, you are right. May be I should read another one of his books so I can base the sexual energy practices on a more stable ground.

  15. Yes, let love guide. In my opinion, a strict practice such as microcosmic orbit is not required to transmute or sublime sex energy into higher forms of energy. I am open to it and interested in learning it, yet I have am having positive and beneficial results from awakening my kundalini through the Chi Machine, asana, and meditation - that I do not feel an urge to learn the Microcosmic Orbit technique right now, because the energy and motivation I am experiencing is unlike anything I have experienced in the past. To each his/her own.

Dynamic meditation can work and help too. One of the main part of it is to breathing forcefully for 10 minutes with eyes closed (you can also let your body go loose). Breathing is a vital part of kundalini and what 10 minutes of forceful intense breathing does is it makes your energy go up your spine. Meditation after these 10 minutes is much easier as it clears out the thoughts and breathing becomes much easier.

I have been practising it since I was 9. I feel really dizzy and high while doing it nowadays. My dad said its because I lost my kundalini somewhere and I need much more meditation now. I'm depressed so I've started PO. Btw I know how to manipulate emotions, so I don't actually masturbate because I do divine love making everyweek or so. I'm learning picking up skills too :)

  19. Yes, in yoga the breathwork is referred to as pranayama, which can mean retention of breath, extension of the vital life energy (chi, prana, Holy Spirit). Yes, pranayama can help ground a person and allow him or her to raise that energy coiled at the base of the spine. Any practice of Yoga is intended to raise the raw energy at the base of the spine and the genitals through various different means.

Yes, with the internet, one can find what Yoga is about and learn how to practice the asanas safely.

As you saying your Dad said this because he says you were not prepared for the practice? Lost your kundalini? What?
