Does anyone here drink coffee? If so, do you feel caffeine has an effect on your marijuana smoking. Do you feel more benefits smoking weed without having any caffeine? For me, I feel like caffeine makes my brain feel foggy, and it increases my chance of getting anxiety if I smoke. Also when I consume coffee I find it a lot harder to wake up in the mornings, whilst I don’t have that issue with weed. I get the energy boost from coffee but for some reason I feel lethargic and worse off then I was before consuming it.

Everyone always goes on about the health benefits of coffee though. I’m struggling with nofap at the moment, so I’m wondering if once I’m on a long streak, I won’t have these side effects from coffee. I’ve also heard that coffee promotes neurogeneis. Which is exactly what I’m after, as my brains fucked from porn. I don’t know if it’s true.

Also what about weed? For me, I don’t find it addicting at all. It clears my head and makes me feel a lot better the next day. It’s also reduced my brain fog after relapsing. It always makes me feel super relaxed and sativa weed gives me an enlightened energy boost without the crash from caffeine. I’m not a big smoker. I was smoking it about once or twice a weak for a few months. I never had any cravings for it and could stop if I wanted to. Like I’ve done currently. I haven’t smoked any in 6 weeks. It’s only because my bong grew mold in it, so I chucked it and I’ve been too lazy to get a new one. And I don’t no how to roll, lol.

So is weed a lot better for you then caffeine?

What about LSD? I’ve practiced microdosing for a bit and have noticed benefits. Although you get a minor hang over the next day. No where near as bad as coffee, but the energy boost and motivation I get from lsd is way more then I get from weed or coffee. It also makes me feel enlightened and improves my social situations. It also reduces porn cravings

The health benefits of coffee aren't unique to coffee. You can get antioxidants tons of ways. Coffee doesn't increase neurogenesis, as far as I know. Exercise is the best known way to increase neurogenesis.

Avoid drugs, including coffee, and especially marijuana and LSD if you want to maintain optimum brain function.

I usually drink an energy drink or take a preworkout before lifting in the morning, then head off to work. Feel fine throughout most of the day. I notice that caffeine intake past 12 o'clock AM tends to screw with my sleep, and increases my chance of relapse, especially if I take caffeine while not being active i.e. working or lifting.

There was some research on coffee being good for preventing diabetes type two or at least help with insulin sensitivity.

Other than that this post pretty much says it all. Stay off everything for optimal brain functioning!

I used to smoke 5-10 joints a day for many years. It starts with great feelings of elevation, improved sensations, euphoria, better sensations during sex and other goodies...
Then insidiously, without realizing it, it becomes a habit and you slowly fall into addiction (even if weed is one of the less addictive drugs, still).

Then you only smoke to be in what you built as your "normal state", but there's no pleasure anymore. Euphoria is gone and you start to experience the dark side of the product: laziness, paranoia, couch lock, all kind of psychosis, anxiety, social isolation, doubtfull relations, careless towards your family and yourself, brain fog, money issues (expensive in my country).

As a coffee drinker, I've never noticed any relations between the two substances, I can't tell.

Anyway, stay away from marijuana, it fucks you up in a way you can't imagine. It's as dangerous as PMO and I would say that any substance that affects your brain even known as "recreative" should be avoided.

  6. Plenty of studies on coffee. Some results better than others, but bottom line seems to be a few cups a day is not a problem for most people. I agree that it is advisable not to consume beyond noon, but that's just me.

I have seen too many people who say that weed is not addictive become, frankly, losers. Their homes, clothes, and bodies smell. Their brains, well, they were quick to recognize anything unfair in "the system" and their rants go around in circles. Sad. One of my friends says weed has been a real help to her and she's very sweet, but I honestly think she's wrong.
