    i watched both videos. they are really informative.

    this man is an expert in this topic. there is no doubt.

    he says 3,4 up to 9 months for recovering.

    so the recovering-time is different for every patient.

    :)

    I watched that video the first time, and it made me quit. Though i notice my ability to listen definitely went up recently. Definitely a good sign. Video games came up as well.

    Yes monkotto, and because you were a late starter with porn, you didn't damage your adolescent brain and your reboot should be shorter! :)

    thx for this enlightenment IGY. :)

    i relapsed after 104 days hardmode - so this 90-days-reboot-thing does not work for me.

    how many guys in this forum relapsed after 100+ days? i think there are some.

    I've seen a Fapstronaut 278 days in or something say he needed an accountability partner because he almost messed up.

    Well yes, there is the danger that 90 days will become a barrier for some. If they don't feel like they've rebooted in 90 days, they will feel disenfranchised and be much more likely to cave in, thinking if 90 days doesn't cure them what will.

    Ninety days is a recommended reboot time. The actual time for a full reboot depends greatly on the length of your previous addiction, when you were exposed to porn (ie in adolescence or not), the sort of porn you were viewing (ie softcore, hardcore etc) and the average number of hours you spent on it per day.

    Judging on recent developments I'm sure it will take me longer than 90 days to reboot, since I exposed myself to porn during puberty. My addiction is also 5-6 years old. My plan is to see if I can make it to 180 days, then review my progress. If I reboot before then- cool. If not- it doesn't matter so much, as I now want to abstain for life anyway.

    That's OK buddy. I rebooted @ 70 days. Much later I had a one-off lapse (PMO) at 124 days. But it wasn't too long before I was back in reboot land. So I have had 1 lapse in 164 days. Don't lose heart monkotto.

    @nobrainer

    180 days sounds also adequate for me. it is a long way.

    i think the horniness of an individual is an important issue. some people are calmer and some are more aggressive. i think calmer people are not struggling so hard in this challenge. i am speaking about the being here - the personality.

    @IGY

    dont lose heart?!

    NEVER - even chuck norris cant stop me reaching this 60 days abstinence!
