Im around day 80 of my nofap. My reboot is about to finish and all i have now is a flatline.

All along these 80 days, I felt normal for maybe 5 minutes, rest is all flatline and withdrawal symptoms.
Im slowly losing hope since my morning wood has also gone down and my daytime erections are nothing to be excited about, my motivation is zero and no libido whatsoever, i feel like i am just surviving each day instead of living.
I have seen other dudes who say their flatline ended and their libido came with a bang, i am still hopeful that my flatline also ends and my libido also comes back with a bang.
I am so anxious because I don't know what this journey holds for me in future.
Any ideas on how long flatline will last?.

  2. Hi hungry shark,
I belong to those people you refer to who never were strongly addicted to PM. Actually I am just enjoying abstinence and resisting to urges if they appear. I am glad there is some flatline now also in my journey.

Reading your lines it makes so obvious to me what different background we have. You have been strongly addicted to PM for years, not me. So we are all individuals and we all have our own journey. I am sure you are doing the best thing in continuing your NO PMO journey. Congrats you were strong enough to do it for 80 days. All you need now is patience. All is well. Flatlines come and go like the clouds in the sky. Libido and urges definitely will come back. Trust!

It's not that once you are abstinent for 90 days, all your problems will disappear magically. 90 days is just a period of time agreed upon somewhat arbitrarily (based on anegdotal evidence). If you have been addicted to porn for a very long time, it will surely take longer to reboot. I don't know if it's true (because it's a generalisation, too), but someone said somewhere (sadly i don't remember who and where) that the rule of the thumb is that your rebooting process will take as many months as many years you have been addicted (so let's say you have been addicted for 10 years, so it will take you 10 months to reboot completely). In my opinion, it doesn't mean that you will feel like crap over those 10 months and at the end everything will magically click into place. You will have better days and worse days (reboot isn't a linear process), but overall your brain will be recovering day in, day out.

"What we discover in reading is a ritual which can pacify the turbulence and torpidity within our souls. It becomes our addiction, for human nature will have some addiction of sorts, and it is better to choose our own. Reading for us becomes in reality an un-reading; we learn to unread from ourselves all the falsities that had been fed to us from the earliest age, and in turn learn to savor the truth of meaning that lies beyond all words. Here-in lies true education which leads us out and frees us from the stupor and stupidity of the mass."

Hang in there bro, im on same boat.
Mine is even worse with severe withdrawal symptoms - anxiety, insomnia, panic attacks , sweating, no motivation, depression etc etc.
But I'm ready to feel the pain as someone said "you have to feel it to heal it"
Unless you are authentically present with your emotions it's extremely hard to heal.

Let your body feel these feelings, I guess it's a punishment for these addictions.
So all we can do is take punishment and hang on,
But again a question arises, when do we know we are healed?
I mean there has to be some technique to know we are healed or not?
No chaser effect is maybe one of the sign, where you do not feel to continue fapping after an orgasm and you can control your libido, what else?

I think healing begins when -
you have no chaser effect after orgasm and you can control the urges without much difficulty to binge orgasm afterwards.
And also, I think a return of healthy libido is a sign where you can have erections when you see a hot woman or even if you dont have an instant boner you still want to touch her, kiss her, ravish her, make love to her, I think that is real libido .
There is an article I guess this one -

I read this article and experienced myself after I had a wet dream that my Chaser Effect has reduced considerably,
I dint feel the need to binge fap after that night, The Urges were there but I did not had to fight them hard, it was quite easy for me to fight urges.
I dont know about intercourse, Didnt do it right now and dont intend to do since I have ED and PIED, dont want to be laughed at by her.
    1. You feel like flirting with potential mates, who look a lot more attractive.
You are getting morning wood (or "semis") frequently.

I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT THESE. I am in FLATLINE SINCE FOREVER AND GOD KNOWS HOW LONG I AM GOING TO BE.
    1. For those who developed ED, ideally you can often masturbate with a rock solid erection to orgasm without porn, or porn fantasy. See When do I test?
    2. Flashbacks change (in some guys). One guy said, "As time goes on, the flashbacks are from earlier and earlier porn experiences. Many that I had completely forgotten. It's like peeling back the layers."

    I WISH ,,,,, I can do this.

Bro, I am being totally honest with you , I dont want to get a stage i mean if i do then fantastic that i have instant boner when I see a hot woman but it should be hard enough when its time for sex.
I have ED and PIED, I just want a healthy libido, a hard erection for sex , no withdrawal symptoms , a happy mood where i can think clearly without brain fog. I will be happy if I achieve all of this.
I know you want more but I am not so greedy to become a sex god. I am happy being a human with healthy libido. :)
