    Hi everyone!

    This isn't my first time here on NoFap. I've tried to reboot twice in the past, to different levels of success. However, given that my life is about to change drastically with a new job (my first post-college) and a relationship with an amazing girl that has turned into a solidly long-term relationship, I've decided that among many other planned lifestyle changes I needed to get myself off porn, period.

    Here's a bit about myself before I dive into what's brought me back here under a different username than I've previously used. I'm a college senior about to graduate in May with a computer science degree. I landed a fantastic job just last week that's actually very close to my university, and am super excited to see where that's going to lead me. I'm a bit of a nerd (maybe an understatement, I play DnD, Magic, and many PC games), a musician, and am fascinated by astronomy and, more specifically, astrophotography. I actually just now realized that I'm going to have the income to pursue astrophotography as a hobby, and now I'm even more excited to graduate than I was before writing this introduction! :D

    On top of all that, I've got an amazing girlfriend who has seriously turned my life around in so many ways. I'm very introverted normally (definitely a homebody) and she helps pull me out of my shell. I also tend to get in my own head often and get lost in negative thoughts. My girlfriend helps keep me grounded even on my bad days.

    She is, unsurprisingly, one of the biggest reasons that I've returned to NoFap with the determination to set things straight once and for all. I'll spare anyone who reads this the details, but there have been several times when we've been playing around and I've been unable to get/keep an erection for very long. I think I can partially attribute this to the stress of my senior year and/or position, but I know for a fact that my porn use was not helping there. The past few months I've made a conscious effort to reduce my porn use, and had gotten down from PMO almost daily to once every 3-5 days, but I know that was still affecting me as I hadn't actually broken the cycle of addiction.

    My goal for the next 90 days is simple. Among many other lifestyle changes, I want to get myself set on the road to getting over my issues caused by PMO. I'm going to keep a journal thread for sure, and it isn't going to just be for my PMO/NoFap related thoughts. I plan on writing about all of my lifestyle changes, my new job, music, my hobbies, pretty much anything to keep myself occupied. Anyone will be welcome to comment on my journal and engage however they want, and I'm going to try to do the same with others.

    If you have any questions at all for me please don't hesitate to ask! I'm more than happy to answer them and/or just chat.

    Edit: Just to clarify, I won't be doing "hard mode" or abstaining from orgasm entirely. I am absolutely abstaining from PM, however I feel that a healthy sexual relationship with my girlfriend is more than acceptable and will do more to benefit me during my reboot through building connection with her/re-training my brain.

  2. Hey @Response ,

    Very glad you are back. I'm just a normal member. Not a moderator or anything like that.

    When I arrived here, I was very confused by the program. So many terms, ideas, different opinions. I was in some ways as overwhelmed with NoFap as I was with pmo.

    I found two things that helped me.

    First, was reading up on the program and figuring out where to start and how to work my program. The best page is the one with the list of all the resources available.

    https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-users-list-of-rebooting-resources.50878/

    That page explained the program. I read every article and watched all the videos on that page.

    Next, was the community. By getting involved, reading people's posts, remembering to "like" the posts, reading the post not only in the forum, but on people's profiles, I found a great group of people.

    This is a diverse community. We have religious people and secular ones. There are men and women. People with months of no pmo and those just starting out. As well, there are many different approaches to remove porn from our lives forever.

    Keep reading posts and profiles. You will find someone who is telling your own story. Keep posting your own story, someone needs to read it.

    Looking forward to reading many more posts from you,

  3. One of the ways I got involved with the fellowship was by reading some really great journals. Reading other's stories with their victories and even defeats is a big part of my program.

    I've included journals from all age groups, spiritual members, religious members, secular members, male and female. You should find journals that help. If not, look around, there are hundreds of others from which to choose. When I say "it works if you work it", reading journals is part of that work.

    Once you open a journal, click "Watch Thread" in the upper right of the page to get alerts when new posts are made. Here are just a few:

    There are many more, and you can discover them on your own. But, these are great places to start.

    This is a work in progress. So, if a journal has changed or is no longer active, look around there are some amazing journals on here.

    PS - Starting a journal also helped me a great deal.

    The journals are listed by age groups on the forum start page.

    Most members run one journal only. That way both the member and others can go back and look at their journey at a later time.

    Hope to read your journal soon. Also, in your personal details you can put a link to your journal. Then, appears under your avatar.

  4. For me NoFap is 1/2 program & 1/2 fellowship.

    Click on these people and post a "hello" on their profiles.

    I've found that the bricks that hold this community together are cemented with the support of the members of the fellowship.

    @bartbar
    @CrushPornBeneathYourFeet
    @JakeO5
    @Arohamystic
    @MLMVSS
    @Rising Sun !!
    @Ready to be healthy
    @Brahmacharin
    @tet2vd
    @Satchi
    @BigDawg913
    @zakes
    @LilD
    @kropo82

    Look at with whom they exchange messages and you will find more profiles.

    So, if you would have found more profiles yourself, why suggest these particular ones as a start? Those relationships started with just saying hello. So, my ESH is that saying hello has kept the fellowship alive for myself.

    Looking forward to your success and in seeing you say hello on these profiles,

    --> L
