I suffer with bipolar and therefore its a challenge. Coping with the meds n my symptoms is also linked to this condition. Have a nice day fapstraunaughts

Once you reboot you will have less down days and a more balanced mood. There will of course still be bad days but it is important to stay clear of PMO especially on these days because it steels all of your good feeling reserves and dumps them on you all at once leaving you empty for the following days.

Im just curious. How much of your personal time do you spend each day in front of the computer? When you substitute social interaction and friends with a computer it can leave you feeling very lonely.

Perhaps try allowing yourself only 30 min of computer time per day? Instead go for walks, bikes, rollerblading.

If you need more social interaction try joining some meetup groups in your area www.meetup.com

Suffer from depression as well. Just came off my second antidepressants since they were not doing much. Hopefully the new one will be better. I have decided to take on running using the C25K app and it is doing wonders for me. Have also decided to do dancing. Although depression can be physically taxing, sometimes we need to go beyond that and get the physical exercice we need. Dancing keeps me happy and lifts my spirit. Watching funny stories and comedy also does help.

I can totally understand your pain man. I have bipolar 2, a lesser known mental health disorder where you experience more low moods rather than high moods. I take medication everyday and it sucks. I've had depression twice, but still I survived. I have anxiety and I take sleep meds every night to get some rest, otherwise, I won't sleep at all. I'm stressed out to the max and I have many family responsibilities, work, school, etc. I'm lucky that I'm still functioning. Most people would have given up. I'm hanging in there everyday and so should you. I've found out that my greatest strength is my own resilience and the support of my family and friends. Use Nofap, your own support system from the people who care about you, and every known resource that is beneficial to you. Work out, do meditation, or whatever. Most importantly, hang in there everyday because hope can arrive when you least expect it. When that does come, everything you've ever hoped for will get better. But you must hang in there! Just know that you're not the only one suffering. I can understand where you're coming from. I hope this gave you some encouragement. Best of luck man!! :)

To note, one of huge mood swing impactors is sugar.

Max Recommended intake: 25 grams or 6 teaspoons)
Min needed for body to function: 0 (zero)

When I took few days off sugar, mood swings were severely reduced, but withdrawal symptoms of craving anything sweet did attack, I rewarded myself with a nectarine every 2nd day or so.

Salt intake shouldn't be a problem, as long as you don't start salting your donuts. But should you desire you can also start paying attention to that, limiting the intake, as basically anything we eat today already contains salt.

Also do some research on your own, don't just take my word on anything or anybody's for that matter. Key to growth in any area is knowledge, part learned from others & (the most important/crucial) part is your own interest in it, to verify (e.g. to not be misled intentionally or unintentionally. From all that springs kinda confirmed knowledge, growth, with time wisdom, etc. Eventually passing that (successfully) onto others, family and public at large.

But be aware, doing PMO and no Sugar and the same time will be more of an uphill battle, as part of the PMO cravings were satisfied trough back door from sugar.

But if you're already in mud, you might as well wrestle two girls right? (don't mind the irony)

Feeling fucked up. Just gone on a new antidepressants and am not liking the side-effects. 3 types on antidepressants in three months! Am beginning to despair of them and am tempted to try alternative therapy.

Just came back from a jog and really feeling great. Haven't ran for almost two weeks because of the side effects and withdraws of the antidepressants I have just stopped taking.

Sorry you're not feeling well. Someone told me once that if the mountain in front of you is too high to climb, try to go around it instead. Sometimes you stress is increased by the height of the mountain before us and we think that there is only one way to deal with it. But there are many ways to deal with a mountain: you can go around it, glass a tunnel through it or just blow it up. I would prefer to go around it, since it requires less energy. Wishing you well.

Hmm @BBX555, I am not surprised you are feeling fucked up!

I don't know what your doctor is playing at - three types on antidepressants in three months! They can take up to six weeks to start working.

Do you remember the names of these three medications? Oh yeah, exercise is one way to fight depression (if you can muster the motivation).

The only time I've taken antidepressants I was on them for only 4 days before I had to stop taking them as it was becoming unsafe to continue. Admittedly, my doctor offered me a second variety and I refused as I didn't want to go through that again.

I've had significant problems with most medications I've ever taken. My medical records are littered with things I can't take. It turns out I probably have a liver enzyme deficiency, meaning most drugs either do nothing or are toxic.
