Lucid dreaming

    I haven't had a dream in years. I smoke marijuana which is probably the cause, literally years though.
     
  2. Fuck yeah dude. Marijuana is absolutely terrible for dreams. That's my main problem with it.

  5. Oh you're definitely getting healthy sleep, but for some reason weed just keeps you from dreaming. I'm not really sure what it is. Maybe you're dreaming but you can't remember your dreams. You'd have to google it hahaha. That's my main problem with weed. It is an absolutely amazing drug, but it keeps me from dreaming and it makes me paranoid. It helps with my appetite and absolutely cures my depression, but I just can't dream on it and I can't smoke weed and go out and socialize. I feel like everyone is looking at me like I'm a weirdo when I'm high.

    If it's helping your life then by all means keep smoking, but if you want to lucid dream, you're gonna have to give it up. Period. You have to decide man.

    You are dreaming. Everyone does. Every sleep research study shows it. If you are experiencing REM sleep you are dreaming. And if for some reason you are not experiencing REM sleep you will become very seriously mentally ill in a very short time. It's dream memory that is the problem. Dream memory is very fragile. Subjects in sleep labs that are awakened directly from REM sleep almost never fail to report some memory of dreaming.

    Yeah I just found out I still dream from the woman I'm sleeping with who said I move around and make noises as if I'm dreaming. Now I want to quit weed so I can get back to retaining memory of them
     
  8. The more you do it the more control you can have over them. I honestly think that lucid dreams could be an amazing tool for rebooting. Instead of PMOing you could have a lucid dream where you have passionate sex with your heart's desire. That might be a touchy subject right there, but in my opinion that's not masturbation. I've had lucid dream sex and I have to say that shit is very realistic. Of course that's not all that lucid dreams are about, but it's definitely a healthy alternative to watching porn and jacking off.

    I quit smoking weed this week and had my first dream that I could remember when I woke up in years. I am so happy right now. It was nothing special, kinda like a Judd Apatow movie, but I am very happy still.

    I am 29 .. watching porn since I was 12 .
    Never new I was addicted .. never heard of nofap.. just going on..
    I tried to stop this and believe me you can hold it for a week.. but when weekend comes .. it's all back and you'll think it's ok to stop for 5 days and I'll watch now and get satisfaction and then from tomorrow onwards I'll try for two weeks..
    Well tomorrow is Sunday .. you'll do it again thinking you'll start from Monday..
    In next week you'll do on thursday by accident and then you'll think ooooppss .. ok.now it's done so I'll again start from Monday and the you'll watch and satisfy yourself on Friday Saturday and Sunday.

    Now on Monday you'll think ohh I'll start from 1st of next month it's only 4 days away and swearing this time..

    And it's all going to repeat and I'm next month you'll block some websites .. then stop watching youtube for some time and this sort of things you'll do whole year.

    Trust me.
    I found that two year ago that there is something not proper while having sex with my gf..

    And after that two years i kept giving excuses that I'll stop from today fromMonday from next month and many more.

    Now it's been 20 days and I have stoppedit all. Nothing at all.. and now I don't imagine sex at my office.. I don't imagine sex in bus... I don't imagine sex whilecommuting..

    The secret is..
    I started reading a novel. It doesn't give me time to think anything else. I come from office at 5 and get into that novel and I read it till 8 .. have dinner and again back to it.. call my friends on phone for time pass... Then back to novel.. sleep at 1am and wake up at 7 am .. back to novel.. I don't watch TV.. I don't watch movies on laptop.. infact I haven't opened laptop in days.. I read on Kindle so there is no option of just googling stuff and distraction by anything..

    I chose a novel..
    The mistborn triology..
    It has 3 books in series.. and then three more book series .. and then 2 books as prequel..
    Total 8 books..
    I have reached on 3rd in 20 days..
    By the time I complete 8.. 90 days will be passed..

    Also the book.is great..

    My suggestion: reading is excellent habit. Select some book with long series and get yourself involved into... Also this book has no porn or sex stuff so you'll not reach down your trouser while reading it.

    It helped me a lot and I already see changes in my routine..
    I need less sleep.
    I am attentive at office .. I feel a new energy in myself..

    Try it out.

    I might not have explained in some attractive fashion and with good vocabulary.. but trust me it has helped me ..

  11. I need to read more. I like reading, but I'll get this thought that I'm wasting my time. Why read when I can do more fun shit? I spend my weekends worrying about how to spend my time before I have to go back to my shitty ass job. I need to work on that. I'm glad that you found something to help you. Maybe reading will help me like that.

    What is redistributing sleep?? I've been having many lucid dreams lately and I haven't even been trying to. Many seemed to be very meaningful dreams too. Seems when I get on a good sleep schedule I get them more often. Last summer I got them literally for like a month straight and it is very interesting the things you can do and learn. Just curious though what you mean by sleep distribution

    Basically, it is forcing yourself to wake before you normally would. For example set an alarm to wake you after only 6 hours of sleep. Stay busy for an hour or 2 and then go back to sleep. It seems to make a difference for most people. A more detailed description is available in the book, Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming.
     
  14. You're thinking of Incubi and Succubi. I'm gonna look into that one because that's pretty cool. I think I have a book about it actually. I'm gonna have to actually read it now hahaha. I'll get back to you on that one.
     
  15. From what I've read, they're not actually evil, just mischievous. It would actually take a lot of convincing to get them to have sex with you anyway, but again I'd have to finish the book. I probably sound crazy as hell hahaha. I'll read the book and find out.
