I hate it when people on internet say that masturbation is perfectly normal for boys and girls and it's safer than free sex blah blah blah
    Since when masturbation is normal?

It's not normal and never will.

Break the myth. Educate people. Masturbation and porn is posion for soul and body.

All people on this forum would agree with my statements.

Don't let people trick you to pmo ever again

    It took my husband.
    it took sexual intimacy
    It took my children’s father
It took my faith in good men
It took my marriage and made a mockery of the love I freely offered
    It took my confidence
It made me doubt my worth
But.... it turned me to God
    It made me stronger
It made me understand real unconditional love.
    It made me a fighter

Do you think these effects are reversible with abstinence or are we all done for?

After two months hard mode I had some good physical benefits:

    - libido returned
    - erections returned
    - morning wood returned
    - better sleep
    - vivid dreams
    - more energy
    - increased body hair growth

But mentally I still had all of the following:

    - low mood
    - anxiety
    - low confidence/self-esteem
    - anhedonia
    - brain fog
    - constant thoughts of porn

Maybe it just takes longer to see improvements in this area? Or maybe I never will?

I cant have fucking sex because my dick dont work properly.

  8. 1: it has kept me stuck in the past in negative ways.
2: it has lead me to swing between the extremes of uncontrolled porn indulgence on one hand, and psychologically unhealthy puritanical abstention on the other. In short, I have lost the healthy medium.

I think this theory is a myth more than anything, to be honest. Hair loss has more to do with genetics and other factors than PMO. There are friends of mine who have been on NoFap for years, who routinely go hundreds of days without masturbation, who are nonetheless experiencing hair loss right now. And in my own life, my bad PMO habit did not cause hair loss. I was a very chronic PMO addict from 2008 until last May and I have always had very thick and healthy hair. Given how frequently I used to masturbate, if masturbation caused hair loss then I probably should have lost a lot of my hair years ago.

The problem is that most pmo addicts have been doing this from a very young age. You’ve messed up your hormones and chemical balances. So there can be different physical reactions to sobriety. I’ve said it before, my husbands fingernails have been deformed as long as I’ve known him(33 years). Doctors couldn’t figure out what was wrong and years of trying different things never worked. At 6 months clean, they were definitely looking better, by a year and half they are literally perfect. He hasn’t changed anything else. I told the csat about it and she said that was not uncommon and they were still trying to figure out why. Many guys complain they lose their hair while others claim to have more hair growth. I know my husband had more hair growth, bigger dick, better skin coloring, stronger jaw line, brighter eyes, no longer takes naps. Just so many things.

Yes, there are many good reasons to quit PMO and it will improve quality of life in many ways. My concern is that some of the points I see people make may give people some unrealistic expectations about what to expect if they successfully get through NoFap. If a guy has a receding hairline and is losing his hair, he might try NoFap as a "cure" and then be so discouraged that it didn't make a difference in addressing his genetic hair-loss issue.

Lol, very true! I forget sometimes that people try to quit for other reasons than they are addicted!! Too many focus on insignificant benefits rather than the real prize- being free from addiction.

no i said NoFap causes the hairloss, because of the hormonal imbalance it causes in the beginning of NoFap.

Oh, my bad. I misread you. But, this fact notwithstanding, it is the case that people commonly tell others to start NoFap if they are worried about their hair loss. I've seen it many times on this forum.

  16. I agree with a lot of the things listed here. I also hate that I spent countless hours at night searching it instead of doing homework for college or sleeping.

Porn stole 50% of my overall life time.

That is the ultimate and main reason why it ruined me. So much waste of time, wasted quality of life and wasted opportunities. And I want and have to do everything now I can that porn and the subsequent addictions that followed with it, won't eventually steal a 100% of my life time.

Nofap doesn't cause hair loss. PMO is the cause. Stop PMO for your life sake and happiness. Today I lost a lot of focus due to pmo I did 2 days ago. The aftermat of pmo is very debilitating. I almost got an accident today due to my great lack of focus and I always have this kind of brain fog after I am done fapping.

The only thing I want to accomplish in this life is a life without PMO
