How much of an influence does religion play in how we think about masturbation? If there was no religion would we be bothered about masturbation? Does religion make us want to masturbate even more?
 
Religion makes us masturbate even more. Even further, Christians tend to do a lot of nasty sexual stuff. ( I know from a friend :D )

That was my point. I grew up as a fundamentalist Christian and I wonder if I didn't would I even be on this site. Do I think something is wrong when it actually isn't? IDK. I asked on a progressive Christian group about it and not one person said they thought masturbation was bad.

Masturbations prohibition in Judea Christian theology is based on a non scientific understanding of the role semen played in procreation, so the actual act is in and of its self is neither sinful nor virtuous. Its a biological reaction of the nervous system caused by external stimuli.

Not really sure what's "non-scientific" about it. Does semen create new life when applied correctly? Yes. Does wasting it means you're wasting potential for new life? Yes.
My point isn't that science and religion always co-exist - they don't, but that doesn't mean religion doesn't make sense.

You're the first person on here who seems to know who King Og is. I started a thread in the Christian group about him and judging by the response no one seems to know. I chose it because I find him an interesting character who is rather obscure. I also have Moses the Black as my avatar. King Og represents the bad side of me, Moses represents the good side.

At least for my PMO addiction the Lord clearly told me, it's sin separating me from Him and I have to stop it. P, M and O, all of it. So I stopped it and got accepted into His kingdom.

I have stopped masturbation and orgasm, but the porn watching is so getting difficult now. It’s been almost seven months but I am having trouble keeping the porn watching away .. What did you do when it came to stopping from watching the porn. I try to at least call on prayer for help.
