Think about it --- what is the purpose of sex? To reproduce and create a new life.

Sexual attraction evolved in animals to ensure that they would reproduce and create the next generation. But as humans, we already know how important it is to reproduce. We don't need sexual desire to tell us this.

So with something so important, so crucial to creating new life, why are we having sex regularly just for pleasure? It really should only be reserved for when we actually intend to pass our DNA to the next generation.

Obviously, to create a new life, we need to sacrifice a part of ourselves. We lose a part of our "essence" to create another. But when we masturbate or have sex just for pleasure, all of the ingredients our bodies use to create life get put to waste.

Translation: masturbation and sex kill a part of ourselves. This wouldn't be so bad if we were also creating life in the process, but for most people, that's not the case.

If this doesn't motivate you to stop your PMO addiction, I don't know what will. Now whenever I get an urge, I try to think about this. Hopefully, this will help to temper my addiction in the long run, and yours too.

I cannot stress enough how important I think this is. This is not some crazy superstition or pseudo-science I'm talking about here, it's the real deal. And the sooner we realize this, the sooner I think we can begin to really heal ourselves.
