Maybe it's not that easy to recognize that you have a problem

(English it's my second language. In advance, sorry for the possible mistakes)

Mine, it's not a dramatic story. I'm a male, 25 years old. For years I've been using porn, once daily at least for 10-11 years, 3-4 times if I was dealing with stress. I was thinking of it as a healthy innocuous way to relax.

I said it's not dramatic because It didn't stop me from achieving academic success, nor from getting a girlfriend. So I never thought of it as a problem, I got used to it. The trouble was in the details, that I decided to ignore until today. Having trouble to sleep without fap, being unable to finish when having real sex, always being tired... More recently I read an issue of porn addiction, so I tried to quit fapping. But I couldn't for more than a couple of days, and it's worth saying that I took it pretty badly. So now I'm scared.

I need to change for good. I know it doesn't sound like a great story, but it hurts when I think how those past years could've been. Could've my social and academic performance been better? What else can I blame on my addiction? Because I've considered myself an introvert lonely person, am I really like that? Yes, probably you had already noticed how intolerant I am to failure and stress, which could be part of the problem as well.

The last time I fapped was yesterday, and I haven't planned how to stop. So I'm eager to hear recommendations.

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

Well, just minutes ago I realized that identify triggers could help. Besides, I'm trying to something that reminds me to refrain, something not evident.
