Meditation question

  1. So I've been meditating on and off for the last four years or so, and I find it extremely hard to stay focused. I tend to be stuck in five minute reveries until I realize that I should be focused on the breath. If you meditate, what would you do to minimize the distraction time?

    Do you count your breaths? If not, you may try doing it. Count your breaths from 1 to 10, then start again from 1 to 10 (and so on). Do the counting while you are exhaling.

    What works for me is to draw a "diamond" in my mind that connects the very top of my nose, the tip of my eyebrows, and the center of my forehead. Also consider the placement of your tongue just behind your back teeth, that can sometimes help move energy around.
