My take? Women do not want to harm us and they have no responsibility when it comes to the loss of our seed. Always the wiser are responsible. So, as a man who understands what is going on, you need to act responsibly and be in control.

As someone who reached past of 90 days of abstention, I don't see the value of this boast of holding one's semen. I don't agree with Mantak Chia's ideas and practices to a large extent.

When your semen becomes old and toxic, your body disposes of it naturally through wet dreams. And the good part is reabsorbed. Depending on one's metabolism only a small part of the semen might be reabsorbed. Semen retention is bull shit for the most part as far as I'm concerned. But the benefits are real, I try to keep my seed the maximum I can, but to a healthy degree, not obsessing over a wet dream or a spontaneous emission -- you'll have it when you get a long streak, like it or not. Some people experience them for the first time while on NoFap

 

Your statements seem contradictory with each other to me.

The benefits of abstaining from PMO are real. Semen retention holds the idea that wet dreams are evil and to be avoided. This I consider aberrative. For instance, I would have at least 3 or 4 wet dreams in 90 days, and I do not consider it a setback.

They would go to great lengths to avoid spontaneous emission, which also happened to me, and wet dreams. There is no contradiction. The benefits of abstinence are undeniable. SR is taking it to the extreme, making it unhealthy.
