The only reason someone relapses after a long time is because they stop working on themselves and go backwards without noticing it untill they are back at their old vices.

Right, I don't disagree with that at all but the key word here is RELAPSE. Addicts will always be susceptible to a relapse no matter how long they've gone without the addiction. So that's why I said addiction is forever. There is no cure for an addict, an addict will always be an addict. The addiction will always be wired in the brain of the addict. We must always be vigilant for the rest of our lives or we will go back to our addiction.

You're absolutely right about working on yourself. As an addict, one must work on himself every single day and live a life that is aligned with his recovery.

I don't agree, you're becoming attached to labels, you can believe what you want.

These labels don't serve anyone and they're not true.

Would you also agree that once a sinner always a sinner? I bet you would not if you've repented.

Also there does come a point where you are no longer addicted, and the word addiction needs to be defined here, you need to master the skills that keep you away forever, that's how you'll be free.

Check out @modern milarepa and let me give you this piece of advice, if you want to quit, you better get over this "addiction is forever" nonsense.

    Good luck.

Yes, a sinner is always a sinner. I actually do agree with that. I repent, but I still believe that I'm a sinner. Only God is good. No human being can be perfect.

Modern Milarepa is the exact reason I advise men to stay virgins hahahahaha! He slept with over 100 women, lots of them were prostitutes. This is what an addiction can do to someone. Thanks for proving my point. He's the perfect definition of a sex addict.

"It is important to note that during the maintenance stage relapse is less likely than at earlier stages. However, it is still a possibility and requires careful watch. One client said, “I had been doing well for over eight months and thought I had licked this problem. Then one day out of the blue I was in a familiar environment and was feeling a little down and depressed. Suddenly, within just seconds I found myself looking at something I didn’t want to look at. Without going to my emergency game plan, I spent more time viewing pornography than I wanted to.” As this client found out, letting down one’s guard or relaxing previously erected barriers can quickly lead back to relapse. If an individual relapses in the maintenance stage, his response is critical. He can learn from his experience by identifying the triggers, learning the

specific reasons why he relapsed, creating a plan to fight the battle better next time, or he can shame and guilt himself back to earlier stages and return to higher levels of pornography addiction.

The challenge with relapsing during the maintenance stage is to catch it quickly before old patterns and strong sexual feelings return. Generally speaking, individuals in the maintenance stage have been away from pornography for six months to two years. Consequently, a relapse can either be a blip on the radar or a hurricane waiting to happen." - Dr. Kevin Skinner (LMFT)

What, now are you going to argue with a doctor who has treated thousands of porn addicted/sex addicted clients?? Let me give you this piece of advice. If you want to quit, you better get over this "addiction is temporary" nonsense.

I will keep learning and improving myself, but that doesn't mean me or anyone who stays away for long periods of time and has mastery over it has an addiction, they may become re-addicted but they had kicked the addiction once in the past already.

It's illogical to think someone who goes years without is still addicted, it's like saying someone who used to be fat and lost all the weight is still fat, they can get fat again but they're no longer fat.

There are people who were former porn addicts who can now watch porn, not feel anything and be in complete control of themselves, they have overcome their addiction, they're no longer addicted, the truth is once you master yourself to a certain extent you're free.

How is not anyone else jumping in and stopping this guy from spreading this nonsense? My goodness lol.

I quoted a doctor who specializes in porn/sexual addictions, so don't argue with me. Argue with him. I wish you the best of luck my friend.

Nature intended for us to be careful about sexual intercourse, because it could always result in a pregnancy. If you had no contraceptives you would be more natural and feeling better as a human being, because you would need to be more responsible with having sex. Always think about what nature intended for us and how our bodies and brains were constructed and work. Mankind lives a life far away from what is natural at all, leading to all forms of sickness, mental and physical.

  13. I'm still wounder who is a Strong Man ?

    - Someone who control's his urges - And Forgets his P**** and Emotions toward the Opposite sex for many years in order to achieve great achievements.

    Or

    - Someone who enjoys his life day by day and enjoys having sex with multiple partner or at least one, and live happily afterwards with an Average or Above Average life.

  14. The strength of a man is not measured by his apparent imperviousness to temptation, but by the fact that he comes under strong temptation, yet resists.

    I completely disagree.

Alcoholics Anonymous has a saying: "It's better to be smart than strong."

You guys continue to push the idea of willpower and discipline, yet you completely forget that addictions hijack our prefrontal cortex and cause us to become powerless over the substance/behavior.

The first step of AA is to admit your powerlessness over your addiction. Only then can you begin to recover.

    I agree with you,
Anything in Our world got sexuality and sexual, clothes , advertising , relations , video , picture , social network and more.
And It is as if we are machines that produce sperm and we have to empty it with constant stimulation!
    We aren't an oil wells!
    Our Energy is limited!

  18. I never implied that one should deliberately place himself in temptation in order to demonstrate his strength. That would certainly be unwise.

The fact is, like it or not, we are all tempted on some point or another. There's no escaping it. But some will feel weak just because they are tempted. Yet, it is not a true demonstration of strength to feel no temptation--that's easy. True strength is shown by the power of the temptation that one resists.

  19. Temptation holds no power over me. To allow it to do is, is a CHOICE. We are not victims we are accomplices.

  20. Which addictions have you overcome? Why do you talk like you are an authority in sex addiction and semen retention? What experiences gave you this wonderfull all-around unbiased and perfect knowledge? A 10 year SR streak?

I have beat several addictiona: hard drugs, weed, pc games, smoking.

I have overcome all of them. I used discipline, willpower, self-improvement, meditation, active goal setting, ... over a 6 year period to get to this stage. I recently got in one of the worst mental states since a very very long time, and none of these "forever addictions" came back. Now tell me i am an "forever addict"...
