Meditation is how you regain control of your obsessive thoughts.
When i started nofap, i would get triggered by seeing an attractive woman walking down the street, or accidentally watching a movie with nudity/sexy scene. My mind would start thinking sexual thoughts and get stuck on them for hours. Then i’d eventually get fed up with fighting the urges and relapse to get it over with...so my mind could move on to other stuff.

But nowadays, even when i get triggered, i can “change the channel” in my head pretty quickly and not go down the spiral of obsessive thinking about sex, which eventually leads to relapse. I believe this is due to my meditation practice. It teaches you how to not chase your thoughts, but rather to let them float by and disappear. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but well worth the effort in my opinion.

you can download free apps for your phone or tablet that can get you started. I recommend guided meditation in the beginning. This is where there’s somebody talking you through the meditation session. After a while you can start meditating on your own without guidance.

I honestly don’t think most people can just quit pmo cold turkey.
There may be a few rare exceptions, but in most cases progress involves going on streaks, relapsing, learning what caused the relapse, dusting yourself off and starting a new streak.
Don’t worry about the mechanics of what is or isn’t considered a relapse.
Some say pmo is a relapse, for others its just viewing p, or maybe just mo, etc..
The goal should be to keep increasing the number of days you are free of pmo and sexually obsessive thoughts.

    Progress takes time.
You will feel better after x days of no pmo, but you have to stay clean for many days before real gains are made (3 days is a start, but you’ll need way more).

Fighting the thoughts just makes it even harder on yourself. I have been doing nofap for 6 years. Lots of relapses and lots of good streaks but it's a process of trial and error. If your addiction is deep rooted like mine is don't expect to just succeed easily. I started PMO at 7 years old. Before I could even ejaculate. I'd just orgasm and nothing would come out. Crazy right.

So I know what you're talking about. The thoughts eat you up and all you can think about is sex. Gone through it all man. What Stag99 is talking about with the "changing channel" thing is what lets me go on longer streaks. That and just experience too. I don't meditate at all but I've been trying to do that "clear my head instantly" thing for years and only in 2019 was I able to do it. I don't know if it's different for everyone but I just visualize my thoughts leaving through my breathing. It feels like your brain empties out it's actually a real nice feeling too.

So, you could either meditate like he said or keep on relapsing over and over until you gain that control. I think it's pretty obvious what is a better choice here.

I also think having 0 sexual thoughts is impossible. Don't focus so much on getting rid of these thoughts. I could be 1 day or 365 days I will still have thoughts on sex. Instead let your thoughts just flow like normal. You can think about other things and then soon it will just float out of your mind right? You're putting too much focus on the sexual thoughts and therefore it's staying too long. I know it's kind of confusing where I'm saying clear your head on these thoughts but also let it stay put but to put it simply: Don't make the sexual thoughts "special" ... they are just like any other thoughts on football or food it's all the same. All you need to do is just add 1 small step with the sexual thoughts, and that is to just clear your thoughts (which will take time to learn) I'm sorry if it's not clear but you will eventually understand it. Even just getting rid of the "special" tag you have on those thoughts will help a lot but that'll take some time too.

And also recovery is very slow. I have never felt the "superpowers" you get from recovery throughout my 6 years until last year when I went on a 144 day streak (my longest one) Around day 120 is when I started experiencing it. So don't feel down if you don't experience it during the days most people seem to, just keep going. It will come eventually.

just remember, the addiction is NOT in your dick

its in your head, in your mind

your addicted to a psychosomatic reaction in the body. 'psychosomatic' is just a word, that describes something fundamental about your soul, about this creation itself.

in the vid, it shows rats, spiders, alligators. reaction to these things in nature is NOT 'psychosomatic'. you are reacting to the 'dream' of reality, ha ha, it's not such a dream anymore when you feel pain is it?

row row row your dick gently down the stream

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH you scream
