    Hello there!

I been here for a while now. So, sometimes I get 10 days in a row, 8 days a few times, then I get a week clean like 4-6 times. But every time I relapse, it takes a while until I back to the race again.

Im very sad, I moved to live on another country, and I joined it with a 5 days streak.
After day 7, everything was going well, but I cant sleep in the night, so I decided to do it once, like most of the time.

Relapsing 1 time does nothing to my rehab directly, I see it more like a reset, but after reset, everything goes bad and then I end relapsing the next day, or something like that.

Im very sad now, because I had all that power, then a few friends in this new country invited me to go out this weekend, but PMOed like 4 times in 2 days and I dont want to go outside.

Im relapsing most of the time in the 7 days mark, and then is very hard for me to go back to the race.

Please, help me to change my mentality! tell me some advices!
Also cant sleeping is one major issue for me.

    Rambo

not much to it you just have to replace that habit with healthier ones.Watch movie, surf nofap, read a book anything to occupe your brain but dont think just after a few weeks/months you'll be like before. The urge will always be here it's a continual struggle but the high you gain from winning beat everything else.
i noticed you didnt mention porn in that case it should be easier for you.
Goodluck and remember the only way for you to lose is to stop trying.

Thank you for the fast answers.

So a few girls invited me to go with them the night after the relapse, and it was really bad, I didnt go.

I guess I need to learn from my mistakes.

Maybe you should not go with cold turkey, because you will get a lot of negative affirmations and that is not necessarily good for your progress.

Remember nofap is about your personal recovery and we are not the same.

Just try to reach fapping one in every 3-5th day, after a few weeks try every 10th day, etc.. and you will achieve a level where you will fap 2-3 times in a month AND THEN you can try cold turkey.

I had countless of failures through 1,5 year but I realized I just did the same what I've just written to you know, and I shouldn't have to consider them failure.

So, stay positive. You conditioned your brain slowly through years to reach a certain level of porn addiction, so give it time the heal.

    Edit:

If you will have constant success you will want more, you will want to reach a next level. Personally I'm in the Super Saiyan challenge, and because of this I didn't take too seriously the failures, so it helped me a lot. Find a challenge to yourself, and be positive. :D

  6. Maybe I am wrong, but I feel you encountered some new stresses or challenges. If so, maybe you were weaker than usual, so you relapsed.
You should avoid feeling down and sad - those emotions will not help you.
Think about what caused you to relapse. Is it possible you can learn from this temporary setback? I think you can.
Don't expect perfection. Learn from your mistakes and just try to keep moving. You can do it. Peace, bro.

Man, I can totally relate here. I'm in the same predicament. I've been a forum member for God knows how long and I STILL haven't completed a single challenge successfully. I keep getting 3 days here, 5 days there, a week over there, but never more than that.

I think I just haven't got it in me to say NO to my body, I'm too self indulgent and lack the grit and discipline needed. It's empowering when you get to 5 or 7 days, but I'd also call it empowering to say "Alright this is as far as I WANT to go this time, I'm gonna do it now", to choose your fate and your destiny that way is also sorta nice. But of course, that fate is remaining a slave and an addict, so it's not even something you enjoy that much after all is said and done.

I agree with @Rebirth886 that some ppl, like the OP and me, should NOT go cold turkey. I even made a screen shot of your input here @Rebirth886 and I intend to follow this strategy in case I can't make it to my TEN day challenge I'm doing right now. Thanks for suggesting it!

To the OP @RamboErecto , hang in there man. There will be a time when you TRULY WANT to be free of PMO. More so than indulging in it. And then it will be easier to say NO. If you don't WANT it enough, you will never get past the week mark. I'm wanting it more these days but jeez, every reset sucks.

You can PM me if you need help with accountability. We can put both our weak wills together and make a Voltron-like, slightly more powerful one, hahaha. In the least we can chat and see what's up. Distracting yourself at high risk hours is a good idea.

I'm glad that I cloud help you.

Do not forget: little successes make you hungry for more, and never take anything too serious (including life itself), because the stress is going to kill your potential before you can reach anything.

If you're on PMO every 4th day (no matter how many times you relapse on the 4th day) that is not a "failure" that is a success comparing with your daily PMO routine. So, there is no need to worry about it. Be positive, my friend. :)
