Move on from pornstar

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Adam smithsonian30, Jun 28, 2018.

  1. I know what you mean. I had a huge image compilation of the most beautiful erotic models on planet earth, mostly Slavic goddesses from Russia, Ukraine, etc. I miss them. Oh, how I miss them! But I never knew them personally and everywhere you turn in life there will be beautiful women, so where's the loss, really? Fixation is one of the aspects of addiction and breaking away from it causes withdrawal suffering, but to go through it we must to never make the same mistake again.

I would say its like getting over a relationship with someone you have a hard time getting out of your head.

Get distance, reinvent yourself for a new beginning, find a replacement of equal or greater value.

Ive never become attached to a particular person in porn. If I seen it once I need to move on and find something new like a plague of locusts. However I can understand because of the example mentioned before. I have had a couple girls I couldn't get out of my head and that is the strategy that has worked for me.
  3. It's not healthy to obsess over porn actresses or anything like that, you see it all the time with stalkers and celebrities and the stalker is living in some kind of fantasy world and completely out of touch with reality. That's similar to collecting a shed load of content from one particular porn actress, following her on facebook and twitter but in the end all it does is highlight your own isolation and loneliness, it is something so out of reach and unrealistic and many people get caught up in this fantasy world at the expense of failing to obtain an intimate connection with a real person or at least striving towards that goal.

These days i struggle to remember any names of the porn stars which i used to know about and search for on the tube sites. At the end of the day, porn isn't going anywhere it will all still be there 5,10,50 years from now and you can only gain from forgetting about these impossible women and perhaps looking to gain better relationships with regular people like that nice girl at the coffee shop or the one you walk past in the street every day but are too affraid to talk to.

  4. Very very well said. I would fall deep into over obsessing about one porn star in all the ways that you mentioned. I never would follow or stalk her if it were even possible, but to put her on such a grand scale of control I finally realized that this was so unnecessary and unfulfilling in life.

It’s like I said, even though she is a real human, she’s nothing more than a character. And now I genuinely enjoy having small talk and chatting with actual women I come across in my daily life. The ones I was scared and shy to break communication with now make me feel totally accepted and make me want to continue to be a better person
