I've been listening to inspiring and uplifting music during my reboot. It has helped me tremendously. Its helped keep me motivated and help keep me going during the down times when I'm feeling depressed and want to relapse. Your probably not doing yourself any favours by listening to rap and hip hop music with all the sexual innuendo it in. If you are, try listening to other music that is more conducive to your reboot. Music affects the brain in many positive ways. It makes you smarter, happier and more productive at any age. Listening is good, playing is even better.

Here are a couple songs I've been listening to lately. I have no idea what there saying, but it's the most glorious sounds I've ever heard!

Lol speaking of filthy rap, I was actually watching videos of Lil Windex, Riff Raff, Lil Pump, blackbear and Gucci Mane this last fall (more like freight train derailment with casualties) and dude these guys are like the friggin' ghetto anti-Christ trying to ruin your mind with their degrading AF lyrics. Also these types of artists just need to use females in their videos because they are drugged up sex freaks with a void to fill or I am thinking they have some issues that will haunt them later in life if they don't clean up.

They don't care as long as the millions keep stacking bruhs.

I think a Hopsin video led me to the darkside of hip-hop because I usually don't listen to poisonous rap/hip-hop. During a relapse I am drinking so anything goes.

Wake up call. Will probably post regularly in here when I come to the forum.

Ok since I mentioned 666 Beast Venom in your ear canals in the post above, here is some 5th dimensional aural nectar straight from the heavens so the level of these lyrics might not register for earthlings who prefer hellish vibes dressed up as a shabby rapper:

Was feeling down yesterday in mind and body, definitely all encompassing drainage on the entire being mentally & physically, and the spirit (consciouness) heavily polluted from the recent binge. Could not finish some training due to it but then listened to a few uplifting songs and within half an hour felt my energy raise enough to get the practice completed.

Truly music is therapy when used properly. Heck people go to school to become music therapists these days it is definitely an upcoming field in neuroscience and psychology research studies.

I will share songs that speak to the higher aspects of the mind to foster growth and inner development as opposed to listening just to indulge and waste time.

There are two sides to every human being. If we want to keep growing as a person obviously we want to nurture the light or higher self you could say. If we want our destinies to be dismal and grim then one can more easily allow the dark nature or beast side if you will to dominate their minds.

And I'm already over hip-hop. Throwing in the towel. Seen it all and don't like where the future is headed but if I randomly find something without hints of debauchery I will share. I am on a musical healing journey to aid what is an abysmal reset currently. I will skillfully wield songs to promote neuronal growth and share them here on Sundays as I must set a strict & moderated schedule for this reboot or else I just forget my progress like it is my job to fail.

Acey seems to have drastically altered his style since his older material and apparently lost his supramundane lyrical depth in favor of a shallower but flashier style. Shame on him but hey don't hate the MC hate the rap industry.

Last therapy fix for me before I return this weekend:

Guys this is a great thread idea.

Thanks again @Power_to_Change for creating it. I think music is scientifically proven to heal the brain and mind in more ways than one. Actually it is but the brain is so intricate and how much more the mind that studies are still in their infancy on this topic.

The opening of this talk made me weep, well not really but I want to cry, I am a diehard Pythagoras admirer and he was a prescriber of music to heal people. Crazy how advanced they were back in his time. Things seemingly went to shit for a long time since the golden days of Rome in many ways but now things are looking better in alot of ways too.

Well the schedule got rearranged so I decided to get some music reboot action here for a minute. Positive mind changes, wholesome brain ranges.

Some music can have the opposite effect of healing, destroying. Music therapists actually pay close attention to overstimulation as that can produce destructive effects.

I don't know anything about music therapy, but i do know that music can have a powerful influence on who you are, your emotions, and how you act. which can be a good thing or a bad thing.
in my case i know a lot of the music i listen to doesn't instill the most positive emotions, but i believe there is a hidden transcendent beauty in it, awaiting ears that are open to it.

i listen to a wide range of music, and i love instruments and anyone who can play them well. also, i am not a satanist, as i am agnostic, as are most *but not all* of the metal artists i listen to.
    Anyway.....
