I talked about this in another thread but thought I'd post it as a new subject so it could possibly reach more people to help or to connect with others who've used this method, too. To cope with some temptation lately, I've been listening to some favorite tunes (or playing them - if you're a musician). To me, an important detail has been putting on the headphones and just completely focusing on the music, rhythm and sometimes the lyrics (i.e. not just putting it on in the background while you do something else - unless that something else is drawing/painting, which is one of the few things that works well with music multi-tasking). I've tried classical before and that wasn't awful; jazz can work; but mostly, it's my favorite bands/songs. Something about just doing that for 15, 20, 30, etc. minutes I found to be really healing and chased off the craving.

Is certainly a good 'diversion' (see 'The Way of Harmony' in my signature) Also taking up a musical instrument (or anything new that you always wanted to do) is a great way of channeling your time/energy into something more constructive etc. The chap in this video learned to play the "pianos"(;))...Porn Induced ED Reboot Advice: http://youtu.be/I0dDLWGMhUo

Yes, playing music as well. I've been playing guitar and piano since I was young so it's been a good diversion for me.
