I am a 15 year old guy who tried nofap for the last 2 years. When I started it was tricky, never went over 3 week streak. A few months ago i started masturbating on just nothing. Thinking that would help, but it didn't. I came to the conclusion i was doing the impossible because i was focused on the porn and not on the reason why I watched it. I was ashamed of my addiction. And thats why it never ended. With this post I am kicking the shame in the balls and better my life. I hope people will find this useful for themselves and hope they beat it aswell.

Exactly. We all must understand that the Nofap thing isn't just a mechanical decision like "I'm gonna stop porn and magically all my problems will disappear". No. It's about trying to have a deep conversation with oneself and understanding what leads you to seek porn; what void porn has filled/fulfilled in your life; what you are lacking. It's one's true commitment to freedom based on reasoning.
That's why so many people associate this journey with meditation/mindfulness. Once we know the problem lies entirely in our minds, a great thing to do is to analyze each and every one of our behaviors, choices, thoughts, mental patterns, and so on...
Whenever you find something arousing (be it in reality or on screen), stop everything for a moment and ask yourself: why am I feeling aroused by this? Let the moment be, examine yourself, have this inner conversation with yourself.
