So I've read about withdrawal symptoms and it's been 2 weeks since I quit all pmo and related activities. I have struggled with generalized anxiety my entire life. It just dawned on me that my addiction to porn and view of women was at the root of most of my mental issues. I've experienced some pretty awful withdrawl symptoms since I've decided to quit. I had no idea that is what was going on until I read some information on this site. That is good news. It means that this works and my brain is rewiring itself. I've had a pretty hardcore drug addiction in the past and the same thing happened. I've also experienced breaks from the symptoms and can honestly say, it is kind of like magic as far as women noticing me at just two weeks in. I'm usually terrified of them and stay away, but conversations with random strangers has been much easier and I've been approached already on two occasions. I said all that to say this....I'm heavily into meditation and self hypnosis but was not seeing results because of two factors. My views towards women and porn. I've decided to change that and let me just say that it works. If you're trying to balance yourself and have peace of mind keep going. I also have a few tips to counter the symptoms. Amino acids. It isnt widely known that there are supplements out there that can help with natural dopamine and serotonin production, as well as endorphins. My doctor just tells me I will always be this way from sexual abuse and drugs, but that is not the case. I am seeing profound self balancing results with meditation and supplements. I'll create a list and what they are for. I think it's also worth noting that I am back taking an anti anxiety pill but its buspirone and not any "drug" type as far as potential for abuse goes. These supplements have helped me tremendously and are worth experimenting with.
    1) Cognizin Discipline - cognitive function
    2) magnesium - profound calming mineral
    3) Dopa Mucuna - dopamine precursor
    4) Ginkgo Biloba - dopamine precursor
    5) St John's Wort - anti depression
    6) 5htp - serotonin precursor (most use with dopamine precursor)
I hope someone finds this useful and it helps them. Nomastay

Also, sorry Im new. But avoiding alcohol is a good idea while you reboot and if you have other issues it's only going to slow rewiring of the brain. I wouldn't recommend trying to quit nicotine and porn at the same time. I tried that and it was a total nightmare. One at the time
