My Doomed life that needs to be rejuvenated at this forum

    I do have a friend who have undergone the same situation as you. He used to score very well at school. A five minute conversation with him makes u realise that he is not less than a bright student.

    But gradually after schooling he lost the track and scores started diminishing in studies, He doesn't have any bad habits like smoking, drinking, drugs. The only extreme habit he had is “Daydreaming”. Not I'm saying that it is bad, but he dreams way too long (Anything extreme is not good). At the beginning, it used be only during leasures and while traveling. Then it showed its other face to him. Just like a virus, it crawled into his productive life. He lost his focus. He unable to concentrate on his work. Dreams come to his mind like every hour. He got addicted to the dopamine effect of his daydreams. He dreams about

    “what if he become a spiderman”,

    “what if he become celebrity”,

    “what if he become a cricketer”,

    Next stage

    “An affair with his neighbour”,

    “S** with friends with benefits”.

    Now at this stage law of attraction came into action. It attracted other things related to sex into his life. Started watching porn. Started masturbating every day enjoying every ml of dopamine releasing in his brain. If he unable to access the internet, daydreams comes into action again giving him thoughts of best fantasized sex which nowhere can seen on the internet, nor anyone can imagine.

    Watching porn…….. masturbating……

    Daydreaming......masturbating………

    this became his daily routine. The main effect of excess mastrubation for a student is lose of memory power. To drown his fate much low, smartphones and 4g entered, with which all networks started giving data offers. This became his curse. Accessing internet became way too affordable so as the porn. Soon after masturbating, he feels guilty for why he is doing all this and starts watching movies in youtube to come out of that depression. This youtube, daydreaming, porn ate his productive day. This is why such a bright student fall way less than an average student. At the age where everyone fulfilling their dreams, where everyone getting jobs in multi national companies, where everyone marrying their fantasized women, He stuck there…. he stucked there itself at the very beginning of his life journey. Every day remained as an unwon battle for him. Parents started pressurising him to do something. He wonders why he was unable to cry even at that pathetic situation. He lie to his parents everytime when they ask about his day.

    He wakes up, eat, watch Youtube, watch porn, masturbate, again watch youtube, eat lunch, sleep, wakeup, watch youtube, porn, masturbate, sleep. This is how his day usually be.
    This story above is not mine , I copy pasted it from another guy's answer about his friend's situation in quora.......
    I can't resist copying it because it resembles my present situation to some extent maybe 80 to 90 %......
    Now guys I am stuck here , I have a test in a month , i am aiming at scoring 85%of total score but in mock tests I end up in scoring 45% and coming to the point I am masturbating severely and killing time without any preparation for my exams ....

    I am not sure what you want from us. Seems you have identified yourself the main time wasted activities you do in a day to day. Replace them?

    There lies my question my friend,
    I don't know how to replace those habits and to change my course of life....

    You can read different tips and habits on this website in so many posts. If you do not know it, then find a solution. Work on your problems, life wont solve problems its self.

    If you want to get 85% on your test than your actions need to reflect that. You already have a goal to strive for. Start by putting your phone and laptop away for an entire day, unless you’re doing school work on your laptop. Actually, you can start by indulging in your usual degenerate activities (no offense but they are, ive been there too) and after you relapse, don’t run to YouTube or go to sleep in order to comfort your mistake. Sit there, no technology, no distractions, and think about what you did. Think about how it made you feel, about where you want your life to go, and most importantly, how you’re gonna get there. To get anywhere meaningful in life you have to think. You have to live intentionally. YouTube and porn and all other instant gratification outlets put your brain on autopilot. Consuming bullshit, never thinking consciously and creatively. So after you’ve thought about, you can determine your own plan to combat your issues, but I highly recommend putting the phone and laptop away for an extended period of time. Cold turkey.     Thanks brother , currently undergoing dopamine detox ....
    Now you know I have a severe daydreaming syndrome or whatever you may call it ,
    I heard that this severe daydreaming causes flooding of dopamine ,
    But the worst part of it is , this daydreaming is much harder to control than other stimulants like masturbation or videogames.....
