My goals

    I again forget to post yesterday my days almost always the same now with the covid circumstances.
    So they went not very well I had some struggles to abstain I sometimes looked at girls or something but not porn I need to stop this otherwise this can lead to a relapse I need to stay strong.
    I got a wet dream again this morning is it normal I had 2 in 2 weeks?

    Day 9 & 10

    The frequency of wet dreams is personal. Some people has to wait a lot before to get a wet dream... Other people (like you) has a greater frequency of it. Nothing of problematic.

    However, my advice is: close the social media. I know how do you feel.. it's hard... Just yesterday I closed my accounts (for youtube, for P forums..) and I felt so in difficult... at the same time I am bettere, because without those ones I am not procrastinating anymore.

    Trust me, close social... (delete them from your smartphone and don't use them on pc..)

    Good piece of advice right here. However, also considering what you said about using social media for communication earlier in the thread, I'd recommend you replace said applications and websites with others that are less likely to get you to relapse (i.e. replace Facebook with just the messenger app, Instagram with WhatsApp; use mainly other text-and-call only applications). Also, it'd be good to have a web blocker for certain sites that you shouldn't be going on for your PC. I'm sure that both Android and iPhone smartphones already come with one in the restrictions or screen time settings.

    Don't worry about the dreams and stuff man. Some people just do it way more frequently than others. What matters is that you didn't do it on purpose, so technically it's not a relapse. If you want to avoid any bad thoughts throughout the day or when you go to bed, then just try adding more stuff throughout your day to keep your mind busy.

    So keep doing what you're doing man, and don't stop!

    What are you looking for when you use social media? Cheap, low effort entertainment? Distraction from work and studies?

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you to stop doing those things, I'm just trying to raise awareness over the habit. You must have your reasons or else this wouldn't be a challenge to overcome.
    Is your reason to study too weak in comparison to the previous one?

    Understand why you do the things you do on auto-pilot and you'll surpass the threshold to the next stage on your journey.

    Exactly this. I just use it because otherwise I need to do what I really need to like studying. You are totally right.


    Yeah I think I need to it will be very difficult but I’ll try my best.

    Yesterday I removed some social media, I removed facebook and removed my personal instagram. I try to run an insta page in my spare time, so I have set I timer so I can only use insta 15 mins a day just enough to upload a post daily.

    My day went pretty wel I'm really happy I cut out the socail media. Yesterday I only spend 15 minutes on social media 8 times less than some days ago.

    I forgot to update yesterday.
    Day 13 & 14 went pretty good except I had strong urges on day 13 but I ignored them.
    Another thing where I'm not happy about is that I've done almost nothing for school in these days...

    I study robotic and automation engineering! Now I am preparing an exam about robotics. :)

    Today I have some very bad news.
    I have failed today bruddas. I did no go on a binge of watching porn, but I did decide to relapse as my urges could not be contained.
    I have lost the battle this time, but not the war.
    Throughout these past 20 days I've learnt my strengths and weaknesses when it comes not just to abstaining from masturbation, but also in my life. I will begin once again and hopefully meet my benchmark of not doing PMO until the New Year and beyond.

    I'm going to write down a few tips that helped in this small journey as a reminder to myself and to you guys.

    WHAT TO DO:
    • Eat healthy foods, and eat in a strict schedule
    • Sleep and wake up early to refocus your brain on what to do for the day and be at peace in the early mornings
    • Have an exercise routine to follow every day or 6/7 times a week
    • Go outside (if the weather allows for it)
    • Keep your mind occupied throughout the day
    • (^ Practice a new language, read books/articles, do an online course, play an instrument, do your schoolwork and study, etc.)
    • Pray when you wake up and before you sleep (or meditate if you're non-religious)
    • DO NOT GO ON SOCIAL MEDIA!!! PERIOD.
    • (^Includes YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, etc. as they can be provocative and force you to look up things you shouldn't be looking at. Besides, they are very distracting overall. I'd recommend only sticking to call or text-only applications, like SMS, Messenger, Whatsapp, Snapchat(in limited amounts))
    • Disable incognito mode and use web blockers in all of your devices (Pretty helpful)
    • Take cold showers
    • And most of all...
    • Tell more people in real life about your issues, especially those close to you.
    • (^Telling close friends about this issue is what allowed me to go on such a long streak when compared to my previous ones. If you cannot meet them in person, at least call or message them about it, and possibly have them remind you to stay on your mission. The more people you tell, the less of a secret your addiction becomes, and more pressure is put on yourself to not risk failing. It takes courage to do this, but it is one of the most damaging blows to this addiction)

    We can do this bruddas. We can fend off the urges to watch pornography and masturbate as a result to it, which have taken away precious time and opportunities from our lives, made us lose connections with the world and our loved ones, and made our lives a living hell when they shouldn't have been. We must become men with discipline to control our primal urges, which have been exploited by a corrupt industry and used against us.
    I will continue fighting every day from now on, and I'm confident that I will make it past December 31st, and continue to live the life that I should be living. A life free of porn where I have full control over myself.

    Keep going on strong my bruddas!!! greenboy_01, Lufaro, and any others who may join this thread and read this message!!! Only you have the power to control your urges.
