I came here to join a community of people to be involved in a recovery process for myself and the years of addiction to pornography, masturbation and of course orgasms. I am married (not sure if that will stay the case), have been for 21 years. However at this time I am separated from my wife, due to what porn lead me to do against my God, my Wife and someone who I love so much, and never thought I would stoop so low to involve her in my fantasies. None the less, went through the last 48 days with behaving and not watching porn on the internet.

However, I came to discover that I could find another way to "get porn" via text messaging, so the measures I put in place for accountability have been thwarted. I now have asked the person to not send me anymore. I begged for the person to help me remain accountable. As such, I have been sexually clean and without viewing Porn for almost 3 weeks now. I only wish I had stayed the course, because I would be 48 days into this and my brain might be feeling a lot better.

I have been dealing with the guilt and shame, and know the journey is long, but I am extremely confident with enough support, I can get "sober" from the addiction and freed to have a healthy sexual relationship.

    Thanks - Scott

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

The enemy is here to steal, kill and destroy. What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

    Thank you D.J.

My current strategies include, R|Tribe for accountability and meeting people who struggle with the same problems as I do. Brainbuddy to help re-wire my brain from the addiction to PMO and another accountability. I am seeking therapy and I attend Sexaholics Anonymous for regional support and accountability. Lastly I have been in Daily Devotions to help strengthen my walk with God.

I want to get into the challenges here and meet more support to get through this permanently. :)
