Withdrawal is your brain telling you to go back into old habits because it was safer and you were happier.

But really that older state is out of reach and no longer attainable. I realise now that I felt withdrawal all those years ago when I wanted to stop MOing and experienced withdrawal ignorantly. I tried MOing again and it didn't help. That's what made me freak out I thought I'd messed myself up. But I didn't ^^

    Keep going strong !

Absolutely agree with that. Our brain's "tricks" are could be different from person to person, but the substance is the same, what you wrote, to go back to the old habits...but we MUST be strong! Keep goin' my friends.

I find when i tried to go back to old habits I felt much worse and it didn't fit in with the ethos about me wanting to quit which made me feel even worse more so! I think that as soon as you start the reboot process and get to the flatline you can't really go back to old habits at all without feeling worse off

Agree it too. In 37 daysI relapsed 2 times but only felt shame, guilt, and anger to myself. ANd also PMO-ing doesn't satisfied me enough...
