My Progression Thread

    Hey guys, I used or am I? addicted to porn masturbation, I've been masturbating for a long time and I decided that I want to do something productive with myself. I used to feel demotivated and satisfied with the way I was or I was just too lazy to do something to improve myself. I gained 10Kgs during lockdown and didn't really have the will to do anything, I used to masturbate 2-3 times a day for the past 10 years.

    Ever since gyms opened up in my country in August, I decided I wanted to do something productive with myself. I started weight lifting and cardio which kept me distracted from my thoughts of masturbation. I took up NoFap challenge because I was very determined to lead a healthy lifestyle and not be satisfied to keep working on myself, I did some research on Dopamine and found out that chemicals which are released after masturbation keeps you in a state of satisfaction.

    It has been hard trying to leave masturbation, but now I've reduced it from 2-3 times a day to once in 2 weeks or so, I'm still trying to completely overcome these desires and work is still in progress. I've lost 12 KGs and gained muscle in the last 3-4 months, I've never felt this happy before.

    Good luck, I am trying to do almost the same of you, it's difficult but we'll do!

    Dopamine is also realeased BEFORE something that we like (for example if you like to eat a cake, your brain release dopamine to convince you to eat it).
