First of all thanks for the opportunity to tell my story on this forum. I love the idea of sharing and overcoming this demon together.

I'm new here I would like to join the challenge to abstain from masturbation and pornography.

My goal is that masturbation and porn are no longer an option. I hope to find valuable replacements for my porn and masturbation use.

My startdate was yesterday, the 17th of June 2013.

I took up the same challenge in the past. Countless times sustained, last time I succeeded 15 days. It's a new week, so I grant myself a new change, let's do this.

The day before yesterday (day 15 of my last challenge) I had a good day. I made good connections with people, men as well as women. In the evening I went to a party with a cool crowd. I had some nice conversations, my heart was open to contact. Still had some uncomfortable situations with girls which hurt me.

Yesterday morning I lost the war against pornography. I watched porn for hours and I shot four times. Yesterday I ‘took’ a day off. I felt so alone and bad that day.

I didn't feel like facing people yesterday. I lost so much valuable time because of porn and masturbation.

I started with porn in the form of a comic strip. That comic taught me how to fap. After sneaking into the living room in the house of my parents, there was hard porn revealed on television after midnight. My age was 12 or 13. In the 90's the images from the Internet and some movies (thirty minutes for one video) and then came the infamous broadband internet. And hours filling tube web pages.

The effect of such a novelty of porn vids on the human brain is not to be taken slightly. The brain makes loads of dopamine seeing such an amount of naked sex activities. This dopamine (energy) is better used for our everyday business. For more information check out the webpage http://www.yourbrainonporn.com

I had a problem with porn and fapping, I'm 30, still single and I really feel that porn in particular is keeping me away from truth love.

I hope I will find enough healthier replacements for porn in the form of work, sports and my other passions, which will increase my heartbeat.

I am now reading a book, "No more Mr. nice guy ', which in my opinion, can contribute to my challenge. If you guys think you also belong to the nice guys I would certainly suggest this book, written by Dr. Robert A. Glover.

Can someone give extra advice how to win succeed my challenge?

Pray for me my friends. I need it. I will do the same for you.

God give me the strength to overcome this demon.

I don't have any advice for you since I am struggling with the same. All I can say is this - I'm here, too, struggling through the bullshit. I am going on 24 hours and going pretty well, but then I'll see an ad on TV with an attractive girl and my first impulse is to go there. No breaking yet, honestly thanks to coming here right now, so good luck with your journey, too!
