MYSTERY LEAGUE 2.0- The Purge of Legion

Alright.

Thanks to everyone who gave feedback so far. I don't need to hear more comments because it's clear we need to have a balanced pace that can support everyone's participation.

In light of the feedback recieved, I will be decelerating the pace at which the challenge proceeds. The following changes have been made in consideration of this fact:

1. Legion's Metamorphosis will now have 3 stages, not 5. They will be spread across greater intervals. Having Metamorphosis, Minefield, Legion's gift offer and a new challenge all at once really seemed like major overkill to me.
2. At any given day in the challenge, a maximum of 2 events can apply. I originally intended for the threshold to be 3. Currently, Minefield and Legion's offer are the 2 events which stand.
@Sammyforthewin and @Mysteryball please give me your decision as soon as you can. If you fail to give a choice by the next check in, I'm gonna have to change the storyline to facilitate a penalty. Just a reminder. Thanks
3. There is now a penalty for not checking in. This is to help keep the pace steady so that of people fall behind, others don't suffer. Please understand that since this is a storyline, I can't have different people doing different things. Two consecutive failures in checking in will now deal the offending player 1 HP of damage starting with the 2nd missed check in. I will not make this a score penalty because the team shouldn't suffer for 1 player's complacency. Also, it makes no sense I slow down events and nobody even bothers to reap the benefits of smoother gameplay.
4. All players will be warned of incoming events one day in advance. You will be given the name of the event in advance. Figuring out what the effect may or may not be will be a... mystery for 24 hours.

I've come to the understanding that 30 days is a bit too tight a deadline for what I had planned. I will relax things while still trying to maintain suspense. Thank you for helping me as I change my plans guys.

And so, Mysteryball parted ways with the League of Purity, much to Legion's pleasure. The fiend watched Joker leave and although he didn't show it, he would miss the lad dearly.

 

Legion smirked as Batman tossed the GIFT BOX B aside. He appeared before the League again and smiled quietly at everyone. They were prepared this time- everyone drew their swords and pointed them at the demon.

But Legion did not attack. He simply picked up the gift box and opened it.

The words +4 HP appeared in a green glow and Legion crushed them within his fist.

Smiling, the fiend disappeared without uttering a single word.

 

Legion simply laughs.
Bad luck mate.

 

Legion recommends you go for the team with the highest score

 

Legion had grown bored of sitting on his throne all day long. He tapped his fingers on the padded handrest and crossed his legs in disinterest.

And then the gleam of the sunset caught his eye. He turned to look at the setting sun and realised it was time to check in.

And as was routine, he uttered the same words again:

Checking in.

And just as he did, a force like no other took hold of him. Legion jumped out of his throne in painful excitement as he witnessed his body grow and contort.

"This is new", thought the fiend.

And the Metamorphosis began. Legion shrieked in agony as his blood began to boil like never before. Legion's eyes caught fire but this time... it really burned. His claws grew sharper, his body grew more scaly, his arms multiplied... his entire physique was morphing... growing... evolving...

And then the darkness took full control...

Miles away, the League of Purity stopped in their tracks as they witnessed something truly phenomenal. A massive glow of red burst towards the sky from the location of Legion's throne. And as they stared awestruck at the sight, nothing could prepare them for the events to come...
