Hey all. I've decided this month will be the month I do a reboot. Between an over-reliance of porn, medication, and major anxiety/depression disorders it's basically impossible for me to climax by penetration.
While I know the latter two have an impact on inorgasmia it doesn't excuse the fact that I've been relying on the former to get by.

So here I am, four days into it and pushing through. It's been tough to control my desires but this isn't the longest I've gone before so I know when it'll start to get really bad.
The only difference between previous attempts and now is I'm in a committed and rather sexual relationship. My partner has strong urges and is rather kinky too. I love being with her and doing the things that make us both happy in that regard. I always have, I've just never been able to orgasm from it. Usually ending with a bit of mutual to hit O#1 for me and #2 for her. This happens usually on weekends as at least once but usually twice.

My question is this. How will having sex with my partner affect my reboot? Is it something I should avoid? Will it get easier to orgasm over time as I abstain from porn and PMO?

My long-term goal is to not M unless in the company of my partner in the act of sex so that it gets easier for me to achieve it and to even be able to orgasm from penetrating her. I'm willing to work at it for as long as it takes to make that happen. But I'm not sure if the situation I have planned for myself is a good one or if I'm just hurting my own progress.

There's no hard answer to "how will having sex affect my reboot".

If you'd want my advice (and you may not like it) - it sounds like you have a bit of a case of death grip or something similar. It's where your brain and dick can only finish to a specific sensation. I would avoid M entirely, even mutual M during sex. Tell her you need to retrain your dick as much as your brain and if you don't cum, it's fine. Then you have to follow through, no O unless it's from her - hand/mouth/whatever.

If you want a better description look of death grip and dan savage

I have heard of this and that was actually one of my guiding reasons as to why I started in the first place.
Thanks for the advice, and I'll definitely use that mentality going forward.

Some will tell you it affect.. some that not. Try and see what happens in your own case.

Of course, you are going to be normal after you heal. It can take months/years, depending you porn consumption and how long are you in it.
