I'm somewhat new to NoFap. I've been addicted to pornography for about 7ish years. I've decided that it's time to get help because I realized I can't beat this on my own. I want to get a counselor/therapist specifically for sex addiction and pornography. However, there is a dilemma. The counselor has a LOT of experience with porn addictions BUT he is taking a 2-month leave of absence from mid-September 2021 to mid-November 2021. I also want to try an accountability with NoFap AND another accountability group with another counseling service.

Do you think this is too much? Should I start meeting with the counselor? Should I wait til he comes back from his leave of absence? Should I only do 1 of the 3? Should I do all 3?

Cost isn't a huge concern for me. Willing to pay whatever it takes to beat porn.

    Need advice. New to counseling.

Welcome to Nofap! As they in AA - If it works, then work it. Maybe you just have to try different things out and see how it goes, as they all have pros and cons.

I think it can be helpful to keep an open mind whatever you choose because all your options mentioned have pros and cons. So in the event any don't work out as might have hoped, then maybe try and just accept it for what is was and nothing more.

They all sound like good options, though

Best of luck with whatever you choose to do!

When I got caught by my wife doing much worse things than just porn, I started seeing a counselor (with a CSAT) and SAA. That was 4 years ago. I've known of nofap forever, but yes you can make much progress with a 12 step or some other accountability group and counseling in my experience.
