Need help.....relapse after relapse

    O man. I have PMO the last week almost every day....some days even 3times...and I feel so weak......I just can't stop it.....


    But I really hate PMO.....it's just good in the moment, but after it, it just destroi my life....:(


    I can't stop the hole PMO thing...


    TO be honest the advice, just stop it doesn't help me.

    Hey man, many people are struggling with this kind of thing. Myself, I got a lot of inspiration of certain nofappers on youtube, sometimes i listen to a video daily for sone inspiration. There are days when it feels feally easy, others days it can be a real struggle. Also i started writinh with/to myself, that way i gained more insight about my values, my thoughtprocesses etc.

    Hi overcomer, as you may already noticed most of the times the relapse comes after some negative experiences, probably a coping mechanism, like eating candies or ice cream after a breakup. for example people that stop smoking may gain some weight which is the result of excessive eating that masks the pain. the dopamine level drop requires more ways to get it back up again, one of them is porn. i would suggest you to understand what triggers your urgent need for PMO, is it lack of social interaction? maybe some substances?

    Just cutting something that has been a major part of your life and activities cold turkey is hard. I needed to find something to fill that time. Fortunately, there are a lot of really good resources out there. Writing a journal to yourself has been helpful to me in identifying thoughts and emotions around PMO that I didn't realize (or didn't want to admit) I had. Running or walking daily while listening to audiobooks or podcasts (currently listening to Pornfree Radio) has been helpful for addressing the negative emotions that led to PMO. Making connections with old friends and being active on here helps deal with the isolation. I've been reading articles that focus on positive aspects of my life rather than trying to find articles to justify my PMO (Art of Manliness has a good series on quitting porn). Finding a good therapist has been very helpful as well where I can talk about my issues revolving around PA and depression and address them as appropriate.

    Hey, take a look at my forum name. I know where you are coming from. I'm 11 days into nofap. Other than illness, this is the longest I have every gone without. Get your phone out and record a conversation with yourself afterwards. That is the time you have the most regret. Play it back each time you feel the need to give in. It's you after all that needs to help you. Best to hear it from the source.
