Need some help

    Hello. My name is Anthony and I'm 15 years old. But I just want to not jerk off for a week at least. It's been almost 5 months since I last did that. For most of the summer I wasn't trying. But as the school year started, I decided to try NoFap again. And I really want to beat my goal of a week into the ground. But I keep relapsing. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Obviously, it is always my fault because I almost always will purposely watch porn. I tell myself no a lot but it never seems to work. I meditate, and that seems to work, for a while. But I seem to end up relapsing a lot more when I meditate, which I don't understand. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? Cold showers, don't see the point in them. But meditation, which I know helps, doesn't seem to help me. Am I doing something wrong? And my self control is as bad as a retarded monkey.

    I can tell you what has worked for me, and it's based on a similar plan to what VanillaMochi has implemented, as IGY stated above. Before I implemented the plan I was relapsing every few days, and any streak that I did manage was destined to fail at some point from the start.

    The plan involves making a commitment to yourself that you will achieve a certain number of things each day. These activities (in my opinion) should link to your personal development based on goals YOU want to achieve.

    Make a list of things you want to do each day, THEN GO OUT AND ACHIEVE THEM. Every fucking day, do as many activities on that list as possible.

    For example my list is (each day):
    -Meditate 10mins
    -Cold shower (120s)
    -1 household chore
    -5 pieces fruit/veg
    -3 bottles of water
    -30mins exercise
    -Early night- 11.00pm
    -Read for 20mins before bed
    -Update nofap journal
    -1 ab exercise
    -No triggers
    -Guitar practice


    I admit my list has become a bit unwieldy as I add things to it.

    You are achieving some personal development tasks already. That's good, though don't expect anything from meditating, don't expect anything from cold showers. There is no secret that makes nofap easy. It's fucking difficult.

    If you were to implement a program similar to this, just focus on keeping consistent. I have relapsed while doing the program. The program doesn't make urges any less dominant or horrible. It just provides a barrage of tools to keep you from PMOing. If you combine that with a strong mindset not to PMO, you'll be unstoppable :)

"And then you just gotta outlast some stuff" ie outlast the urges. "Just don't give up, don't quit and there will be nothing you can't do"

  4. For me I try to avoid all sexual thoughts and anything that will arouse me. If I do get an urge I'll immediately try to think about something else or just get up and do something. Always try to keep yourself busy. I wish you nothing but the best! I'm 15 and I'm going through the same thing.
